"Needed to upgrade my blue ray player, and decided that I wanted one that played movies from around the world. Not that I travel extensively, but because when ordering movies on the Internet, you never really know. I've had to send back a few movies because they weren't viewable on U.S. Players.

Went to the web site, and read the general information on the products, decided on the player, and ordered it. Really didn't have any questions, because all the information is there. Well maybe not all. If you want a third party review on a certain BD player, you will have to do a search by manufacturer and model number.

That said, what 220-electronics is selling is the upgrade. In my case unlocked region codes for both DVD and Blue Ray. I've tried both formats in both local and another region, and the movies played flawlessly. I even went so far as comparing the upgraded version to a non-upgraded version, and found no difference in performance.

My order was delivered on time and undamaged. For the vast majority of people, almost everything you need was in the box to hook it up and start playing movies. Batteries weren't included, but that's it. HDMI cable works, but not of the best quality. Didn't expect it to be, so again, not really an issue.

Although I did find a couple of companies that charged a few dollars less, everywhere I looked for information of unlocked BD players, 220-electronics was the recommended company. Then again I really can't remember seeing anybody else including a HDMI cable, so pricing is probably about the same, all things considered.

Haven't tried any of the streaming apps, but I probably wouldn't have purchased a region free player if that was major concern anyway. "

I'm waiting for a response as to how they are going to make things right......nothing yet. I am giving 2 stars until I see how they handle this since they did send the item in a timely fashion. "With the ease of the internet, collecting PAL (Region 2) DVDs is too easy. Playback in USA is a bit more problematic. This unit works out of the box: standard US polarized plug, NTSC output, plays both Region 1 and Region 2. But wait, there is more - playback of MP3 & AVI files on a flash drive via USB. Picture quality is good for a basic player, 480P is acceptable on a 32" or smaller screen. Shipping was quick and well packed."

"I bought a converter that does not work with any of my products. I e-mailed 220-electronics and was asked to contact the tech department. I called and got ahold of a very impolite employee, telling me that sometimes products need more W that what their descriptions say. This is the worst excuse for a bad product I have ever heard. If I want a refund, I will have to pay a fee and none of my expenses will be covered. I don't want to waste my time on this company anymore as I work and travel a lot, but I highly warn anyone against buying anything from them."
