" I would like to let you know that after careful investigation I removed the seal tape and saw that the core of the battery was dry and empty. After following the instructions and adding the electrolyte container into the battery it charged fully with in half an hour. If I can make a suggesting remove the part of the instructions that state under battery (THIS BATTERY HAS BEEN PROPERLY FILLED WITH ELECTROLYTE, SEALED AND CHARGED AT THE FACTORY) very confusing. Thank you. "

“The battery ordered actually does not come filled and charged. Like most motorcycle lead acid batteries, it requires a customer to pour the included battery acid into the battery, to activate, which takes about 2 minutes. This is the way the battery manufacturer Yuasa sells their batteries. We also clearly state this on our website i.e. "Comes with pre-measured acid tubes that are easily emptied into battery..."”

"A bit confusing expecting the acid tube would ship with the dry cell battery. But, after re-reading the website after receiving no acid, I realized it was stated correctly for the particular version of the battery I ordered that it indeed does not ship with acid. "

"The listing for this product needs to more clearly convey that the electrolyte will need to be purchased separately (from another seller), the battery will need to be filled, and then charged before it can be used. For those that are unfamiliar with the process and who think that they‘re receiving a fully functioning battery, this can be quite a shock, as well terribly inconvenient since virtually no one sells just the electrolyte. The paragraphs at the bottom of the page describing the benefits of a Yuasa battery are somewhat misleading in that regard as they say that *some* of them come pre-filled and charged.

Also, the customer service function on the site makes finding the phone # ridiculously difficult for anyone who has a question about their order, as I did in this case. Really, the whole website could use a bit of re-formatting; I give it a 7 on a 1-10 scale of user-friendly functions (with 10 being the highest, of course). Shipping was fast, which I appreciate, but the run-around required to actually use the battery kind of left a bad taste in my mouth as far as 2 Wheel Pros is concerned. Ultimately, I suppose I should have done more research on the product before buying it, but it may be beneficial for the company to go the extra mile in letting people know what they’re getting into if they purchase that type of battery (a quick Google search on the issue shows that I’m not the only one who has had this problem.)

“There are several types of Yuasa batteries made / available. Some require to be filled some come pre-filled. Some include acid needed to fill and some do not. Gel or Lithium batteries do not need to be filled. This depends on the type of battery purchased. The different types of batteries are described on our website http://www.2wheelpros.com/batteries.html. For batteries that do not include electrolyte / acid, acid can be purchased from most local automotive stores for around $3. We also sell acid on our website if needed.”
