"I had been looking for a new Canon T3i camera for the last couple of weeks. I ended up buying online from 42nd Street Photo because of the price and reviews from other customers. "Ordered a Canon S100. Price was very reasonable and received within a week. The Camera came with the box that the original barcode stickers (with Serial #) removed, no warranty paper inside. I called the 42nd's customer service dept and a rep (Greg) told me that they've mailed the card to the Canon on my behalf. Since the camera is a gift for someone else, I need to have a card included in the box. He try to convince me that since I used my credit card for purchase the camera will be registered in my name, it is a courtesy of the 42nd to ensure that the camera will be registered with the manufacture within required first 30-days of purchase and he can transfer the name, etc. But, I told him that the camera is a gift and I needed to have the card included in the box. Also, I have seen the card at a local Best and the card is not intended to be mailed in. It is a card that has the serial # printed and kept by a purchaser and mail it in along with a camera to the Canon in case needing repair. The camera looked new and came with everything EXCEPT the warranty card and a sticker outside of the box. He offered to accept the return without 20% restocking fee and received a message with RMA within few minutes. I will update the return and refund process once the package reaches the 42nd in few days. Bottom Line: Good price, Very, very questionable merchandise.

Received a call from the sales rep regarding return process.
He offered to send me a replacement right away with an UPS
pre-paid label for the return. I explained that I will not be able to go through the regular return/exchange process (replacement will be shipped once the item is returned and inspcted), and he gladly offered to ship me the replacement (with a warranty paper) with a pre-paid label, today. I am very pleased that he took an immediate action to solve the problem. Very pleased with their customer service so far. Very professional and offered to make the thing right. The camera will be here NLT Tuesday. Will update once the camera gets here. "
