"I wish I had read the bad reviews on here before making this purchase. I wanted to get a birthday gift for my son and needed it rather quickly. Decided to get him a Nikon DSLR and after looking at prices I picked the D3100. I searched online for it and found that 42nd Street Photo had the cheapest price. Now I know why....... After a couple days I get this call from Robert and he tells me I need to let him know if I want to sign for the camera on delivery and I say no. He then proceeds to ask me what size memory card I want.. And I was taken off guard and busy at work I ask him what are my choices thinking maybe it comes with this. He says well it depends on what you need it for and how many pictures you would be taking. I tell him my son might be taking a lot. So I decide on a 4gb until he tells me the cost of $99 and I say he has a card he can use. He then ttells me that with this type of camera you need this card that is 700x and the camera won't work without it and that there will be a 1.5 second delay. I tell him he has one and it works fine and he says it's old and I say it's not old. Guess what moron it's a Nikon D90 i got last year, which is a better camera then the one I just bought! I wish i had said that.... Anyway I tell him I don't want it and he starts yelling at me and telling me it's $100 cheaper then amazon and this a sophisticated piece of equipment. So like an idiot I agree to get the 1gb and he says oh we have a free upgrade to 2gb. Right.... Then he tries to sell me an extra battery cause the one it comes with only lasts 45 min and I tell him no. I know mine lasts for hrs... What a scam!!! So I get off the phone and find out I can get the card for $20 or cheaper and start reading the bad reviews. Now I know I got duped, so I call back 5 minutes later and he doesn't answer so I leave a message and call again 5 minutes later only to be told the same thing as the people here that once the item is in processing it can't be changed. I ask if I can return it and he says yes and I ask will it cost anything and he says 20% restocking fee. He never even told me the price. To top it off I get the camera today and they just stuck it in a box with no packaging and both the inside and outside boxes are crushed.

UPDATE 10/5/12.... Received a call from Robert after they read my review and he was very apologetic and wanted to make things right. He told me I could keep the memory card and he would immediately credit my credit card for the full price of the card. That is great customer service! I appreciate that they care about making the customer happy. So I've revised their rating to 4 stars."
