"After hearing both good and bad stories about 47th Street Photo, I decided to give them a shot and ordered a battery grip w/ batteries for my Canon XSi. Customer service wasn't that great. I was told an order number would be emailed to me and it never was so I had to call back. I also had to call back for the UPS tracking number which was never sent. Every time the sales rep acted like they had better things to do than talk to me. Other than that, the products, price, and shipping speed were GREAT!! Everything was at my house in 2 days and shipping was free. They had the least expensive price on the battery grip that I could find as well. Overall I'm really happy and would do business with them in the future HOWEVER.....they need to work on their customer service a little bit. "I received my order about a week ago and I am really enjoying using both of my lens. I've already taken some great shots of the moon using the 70-300 lens, as well as some very good nature shots. I love the way this lens feels - it has a good solid weight to it, and seats itself solidly to the camera body. The autofocus works quickly and quietly. The same goes for the 28-70 lens - I leave it mounted on my camera most of the time. They change out quickly and easily.
I haven't used the macro function on the 70-300 yet, but I hope to start within the next few days- there are still lots of interesting things crawling around outside, so I'm sure I'll have lots of changes.
I'm extremely pleased with the whole process with 47stphoto - the lens kit was shipped quickly and was packaged well. I haven't had to speak to anyone on the phone, but the email contact I had with them throughout the process has been quick and professional. I plan to mark them as a favorite seller and I will be shopping with them again - my wish list for now includes a better tripod, a monopod, and at least one prime lens, plus some filters."
