"Returned Kindle and they refused to refund after the Kindle was delivered back to them as instructed by the RMA instructions. I had to open up a dispute case with PayPal to get my money back. Fortunately, PayPal ruled in my favor since I provided a tracking number to proof that the Kindle was returned. Very bad company to deal with in terms of customer service which is non existent. And they will cheat your money if they had a chance to."

"Alright, here's my follow-up to my original post of September 9, 2014. The stuff I re-ordered (multiple Sony voice recorders of a CURRENT model) showed-up. Delivery time was a little pokey (about 7 days, which was within the 2-7 days shipping time listed on their site) from Brooklyn, NY to a midwestern address, but was as advertised.

The product was (& still is) advertised as refurbished, and showed-up in bubble-wrap protective plastic & baggies, all within a bubble-wrap-lined manila envelope. Although I was a little leary as it seemed a little too trusting of the shippers (USPS Parcel Select), everything looked undamaged on receipt. I guess that's their "eco-friendly packaging."

Within the baggies, there was no factory packaging, no manual, and no quick start sheet. But who needs these? Packing gets thrown-out. The retail version, which I purchased a few years ago, is locked in less-than-worthless blister-packaging that requires an RPG to open-up (just kidding... but it WAS pretty tough), and is useless as a storage case because you have to tear it open. The manuals are available on-line at sony.com (although you have to search a little, it was easy to find). Software is embedded in the voice recorder & updates online. All of the accessories that were in my retail-packaged version (purchased @ Wally World for about $70 with tax, although the retail price has fallen since 2012) seem to be there: AAA batteries, and a mini-USB to Male USB cable.

But there's more: Interestingly, although the ad I saw was for refurbished units, the ones I got looked absolutely NEW. Now perhaps the entire outside housing was replaced, but each of these looked (and even smelled) brand-spanking new. Embossed lettering that unfortunately wears-out quickly on this model was crisp & untouched. The couple I tested were functionally perfect. AND, surprisingly, a set of earphones with in-line microphone was included. I understand these were included in units sold outside the US, but they were never included in ones I had purchased in the US (at retail price at Walmart). Lastly, the USB cables were all UNUSED (although 1 had really trace scratches suggesting it might have been plugged in maybe once or twice).

SO, the BOTTOM LINE: I got what I wanted, without unfriendly packaging, but with a supposed refurbished voice recorder that looked NEW & better than advertised (I still think they're new), with more accessories than advertised or expected.

Since I wasn't in a rush for the stuff, the delay was irrelevant, but in hindsight I now think I know what the problem is with the unhappy reviewers: It's the shipper, NOT a4C. I believe the 1st & 2nd time my order was filled, express shipping was used. Where I live, you CAN'T request the carrier to just leave a package at my front door (which is actually quite secure) if a receipt signature is required from the sender: Someone has to physically sign for it. STUPID SHIPPER!!! This last time my order was filled, my package was shipped for free, and I got my order. The take home message: USE THE FREE SHIPPING!!! They also charge no tax for out of state (outside NY) purchases.

The voice recorder I purchased had an MSRP of about $65 when I bought them at retail. a4c? $24.70 each (including discount, free shipping, and no tax). Of course, I didn't get factory packaging (a plus) and manuals. Who needs 'em? I got a nice set of earbuds with microphone. A pleasant surprise! Now, your mileage may vary, because I snatched these during one of their "Daily Deals" offers. But despite the fact that it was a SHIPPER that almost certainly screwed-up my order, a4c HONORED a previous lower price for a truly GREAT DEAL. Try doing THAT with woot.com or even amazon.com sometime!!! This place is crazy-great!!!!

Will I go back to a4c.com? Obviously, YES!!! Just use the free shipping option (or have someone continuously waiting at your door to sign for your package)!!!

"I bought a tablet from A4C because they offered the best features and value. After 11 months of use, the tablet wouldn't hold a charge for more than a few minutes. I notified them of my issue via email, and they immediately sent me the return shipping label, replacing my tablet within a total of about 10 days.
I am very impressed and pleased with A4C, and will look forward to doing business with them again.

"Ordered an Otterbox phone case. Over TEN days ago. It still hasn't arrived and no explanation why. Now I'll do a chargeback on my PayPal account and order it from Amazon or another reputable business like I should have in the first place. Reputation and customer service/satisfaction are everything A4C"

"This is a very perplexing store. People seem to love it or hate it. I placed an order in early July. It was for a refurbished voice recorder. Killer price. Known product (excellent quality). Never showed-up. I used Paypal. The charge never appeared. I have good evidence (now) that it was a SHIPPING problem on MY END: Not their fault. I think it showed up & was sent back.

About 2 weeks later, I called the company to reinstate the order. Same thing. Never showed-up. I used Paypal. The charge never appeared.

Now, 2 MONTHS afterwards, I called the company to reinstate the order. Not only did they reinstate the order, but they gave me the old price (it increased since my original order), gave me free shipping & reinstated the same discount. And this time, I used my credit card, not Paypal & the charge showed-up in minutes.

Now, the proof will be what shows-up. But until then, it shows awfully GOOD-FAITH on the part of A4C. I'm at least giving them a chance, & I'll hang-in there to see what happens.

"I could not understand the negative review of this seller. This seller has been my favorite. Sells genuine items at the cheapest price. You can check out with google wallet and they have very friendly return policy as well. I have bought battery cases, charging cables, otterbox cases from them and could not be any happier."

"Sells non-OEM cables as OEM

Ordered two "OEM" lighting cables for iphone. Received two cables without box. I compared them to an original Apple cable and there are slight imperfections such as glue, uneven edges on the cables ordered.
Surprisingly, I compared the two cables and they are not even the same length!

"I ordered and received 2 cellphone batteries in the time stated. However, one battery looked as if it were in a fight and DID Not work and the other had a partial charge. I emailed the company to no avail. I filed a dispute with my credit card company and they will persue A4C. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY. BAD BUSINESS!!!"

"I have experienced the worst online purchase experience ever with this company. I ordered a DriveNTalk BHF1800 Bluetooth Hands-Free Car Kit from them. Almost two weeks went by and I have not received any confirmation from them. I emailed them, using the email provided on their website and one week went by without any response. I then filed a complaint through Paypal (thank God I used Paypal), and two days later, got a response from A4C. They said that my ordered was delivered and sent me a link to a DHL shipping tracking. I told them I never received anything so they asked if I would like a reshipment. I said I would, and then they stop responding again. I waited two days and still no response so I sent a follow up email, asking if I was getting a reshipment. Four days went by and still no response. I then I then escalated my case on Paypal and two days later, got an email from Paypal saying that my order is in reshipment. Paypal sent me a link from A4C, showing that my order was "returned to sender", but this time it's from a USPS link, not DHL. This is very fishy. I still don't know if I will ever get my product. It's been almost a month already. Avoid A4C.com."
