A Great On Line Etailer For Better Electronics

"I have been meaning to write this review for a long time and am just now getting to it. As brief background I am a 64 year old guy who built his first amp from a kit when he was 12 so I know a little about this stuff. I have been buying cables from these folks for a long time but never equipment. I did so about 4 years ago and am VERY glad I did. I purchased a Marantz universal CD/DVD player and Integra 5.1 receiver. Integra is the upper end line of the company that makes Onkyo. I had never owned one of their products but I was drawn to it by the specs and fact that it had a 2 year warranty. Over 4 years later it is working perfectly and sounds very good. If you are afraid of remanufactured product, don't be. Most of the time there was nothing wrong with the item in the first place. The buyer didn't like the size, color or whatever. The important thing to note is that a remanufactured products are checked out completely before being resold. That can't be said for new gear where quality control only checks a few units out of a big batch. In Integra's case their 2 year warranty is better than most of their competition's one year or 90 days. As for audio/video knowledge, Mark at A4L can go "toe to toe" with me and that is really saying something. I hope this review has been a help to you as you navigate the online electronics "jungle""

An outstanding electronics retailer

"I have purchased several times in the last few years from this company, always with complete satisfaction. The items that it sells are as good as one can get, and the prices are better than one can find elsewhere. Customer assistance is a good as it gets, and has been very helpful. Whenever I am looking for audio equipment, I always check its website first, and almost invariably buy from it. It is truly an invaluable resource."

Exceeded expectations!

"I spoke to Mary about purchasing a Pioneer SC-LX901 and she was quick to answer not only my email's but my phone calls.
The free shipping took only 3 days to get the unit from Florida to Oklahoma. The 901 arrived and the box stated it may have some minor scratches on it. I was amazed once I unpackaged the unit, it was FLAWLESS! Mind you I am extremely meticulous when it comes to my electronics. So I could not tell it was a refurbished item and the accessories were the same. It has worked perfect from setup to the numerous movies we watched over the weekend.
I typically do not write many threads but as far as customer service and product condition they exceeded my expectations!

Awesome customer service

"I received a receiver that appears to be defective, however the technical support personnel was able to walk me through a lot of different options for fixing the unit that I had not considered. Currently it is up and running, it's yet to be seen that the fixes will hold but I have confidence that if they do not, things will get taken care of appropriately. "

Customer Service Poor

"My husband bought a Marantz Receiver last week. They put it on sale this week for $100 off what he bought it for. He tried to get them to refund the sale price savings and the guy absolutely refused and was very pissy! We were going to send it back and he instructed that not only would he charge us for the return fee but would charge us for the shipping that was included in the original shipping purchase . He wanted to make sure that any money we would save by returning and repurchasing it would be lost. We are still considering returning it and buying from a more professional company. Shame on you for not refunding the savings from less than 1 week sales time.... Will not be buying from this establishment again, that is certain!!!!"

Better and Better

"I have been purchasing from this company for over 10 years. I have built several theater rooms including 2 of my own and a few with friends and family. So far every component I purchased from this company has been perfect and their guidance from support helping to choose the right product for the right room and set up has been spot on.

After a few new orders in the last few weeks to solve some upgraditis for my personal room here are my thoughts. OUTSTANDING! My new Sunfire 7 channel amplifier and new Sunfire rear room subwoofer paired amazingly with my system which included a Yamaha 3050 receiver and in wall Sunfire front room subwoofer (all purchased from accessories4less). In connection with my 9 channel theater speaker setup from Axiom Audio (gotta plug them too) my room sounds amazing. Deep immersing sound that keeps my heart thumping from start to finish with every movie. THANK YOU! Great products and great service. Very happy!

"Bought a factory reconditioned Panamax surge suppressor, and two new Canton loudspeakers. All items arrived on time, and in good shape and performed well. Great price/value on both the reconditioned surge suppressor and the new speakers. Great service and communication from Accessories4Less. I recommend them."

Bad

"This amends my previous review.

So I bought a speaker believing the stats that the company and the owner puts online, however the stats of the speakers are completely DIFFERENT than my "TAPE MEASURE" and being that this is an online store all you have to go on are online stats, so I requested a refund because the stats of the speaker were incorrect. It said 2 8” inch woofers when in actuality the woofers are barely 6 inches. The owner said he is not responsible for the stats of the speakers that he sells & that they are manufacture stats and there’s nothing he can do about that. In other words he cuts and pastes from manufactures website. HE DOES NOT MEASURE FOR HIMSELF "It is my opinion"))) The owner of this company does not care about its customers enough to tell the truth on the website or to verify the accuracy of the products that he is selling, It is also "my opinion" the owner does not care enough about correcting the mistakes "FROM THE MANUFACTURER" that are posted on his website. TAPE MEASURES DON'T LIE.
IT IS MY OPINION... Accessories 4 less does not promot repeat business and if you do purchase from this seller you will most likely be stuck with your product or have to pay a very high restocking fee and shipping.

I cannot recommend buying from this seller for the above reasons.

Note: I was contacted by the owner after business hours with a threatening message because he did not like my review. I'll tell you what I told him. His business must be in extreme shambles if he has to resort to threatening his customers for telling the truth about their experiences. Avoid this company or you too may may receive "a threatening email after hours" for stating your honest opinion after a bad experience.

"Received a pair of speakers from accessories4less One of the grills had 3 of 4 posts that hold the grill on were broken. I contact them and the tell me to fix it with superglue or they can order me one. Wow thanks a lot customer service!"

Customer satisfaction is non-existent with Accessories4less...

"Purchased a "refurbished Yamaha Home Entertainment system. It arrived in 2 boxes and was dead on arrival (DOA). After several hours of working with the Accessories4less technical support I was told to return the defective equipment for a full refund. I asked to buy a new system to avoid another DOA piece of equipment. They said they only sell refurbished and I was instructed to return the unit per their instructions. I repackaged and returned the Yamaha system and paid UPS $70 to do so. I eventually received a credit for less than the purchase price (no explanation for the deduction) and informed me that there policy was the buyer pays for return shipping on defective equipment. In other words "Let the buyer beware." It cost me many hours of installation, frustration, and close to $100 to try Accessories4 less. Don't make the same mistake I made and go buy a new system."

Great customer support

"I bought a Yamaha A/V receiver and had a problem with the audio dropping out when viewing TV. After reporting this to the customer service department, I answered a few questions and servcie rep Mark S. diagnosed that the problem was that I had substandard HDMI cables. He guaranteed that if I bought new certified HDMI cables the problem would be resolved. I bought the new cables from Accessories4Less and installed them and now my new receiver works perfectly. Thanks, Mark and Accessories4Less!"
