What really amazed me is that they called after delivery as well to ensure I was happy. You do not get customer service like that anymore! "I recently had a bad experience with AFA where my item was back ordered twice and the customer service I received was sub par. After posting my review I was contacted by a different representative who was both understanding and helpful. I have now ordered a new item and will update my review as to how the rest of my experience goes. It is comforting to know that AFA does try and remediate their customer transactions when needed."

"I purchased a tv stand from afar stores and they kept in contact with me the whole way. Initially the item was backordered. I was offered 5% off to keep the order which was nice. I realized that it was not AFA`s fault that the order was not available as they ship directly from the brand , and appreciated the constant updates . I would recommend them to anyone. Thanks AFA!"
"I placed an order for an "available" chair in March. By June I still had not received it and only would be updated on status of the order if I initiated contact first and was always told "supplier issues" despite the product being available everywhere else. The final insult was when they offered me 5% off to wait another tow months for the delivery, which I would have accepted, but because it took me 27 hours to respond to that e-mail which was too long for them, they cancelled my order. Being pushed off on my order for six months is supposed to be ok but if I don't respond within minutes of their e-mail it's considered cancelled.
Terrible shipping and customer service. Not worth the savings."

I was surprised because the order was large and I assumed we would have some issues but we had zero. Whenever I wanted to check order status etc AFA was always very responsive. "Never order from this company, i ordered a coat tree/ umbrella holder a week before Christmas as a gift. I got an email today saying that is was back ordered and would be available in march. i called and told them to cancel the order and not charge my card. an hour later a woman calls and tells me the same thing and asked what i wanted to do. apparently no communication at this place between people. nothing on the order page when i ordered it saying they were low on stock but when i looked now, it says to call for availability. It turns out all they do is order it from the manufacturer and raise the price and send it to you. they have no stock and said they don't know how many pieces are available until the manufacturer tells them. pretty crappy way to do business. now i have to scramble and find another one and one for the same price. you will be disappointed unless you order 3 months ahead of time apparently. Shop elsewhere."
"I ordered a small table and chair set for my eat in kitchen from AFA Stores. The prices were very cheap and the free shipping made the purchase very attractive. The order went in without a hiccup. After about a week, I called to follow up and got a person who was friendly and informative. As with most furniture purchases, there is a bit of time involved in getting the item. The person called me back and told me when exactly to expect the set to ship. It shipped the day after AFA received it from the manufacturer. I got a tracking number from an automatic email. The set arrived in perfect condition, on time. Definitely a straight forward purchase without any problems."
"Great customer service! The item was backordered & way going to be delayed. They called & explained this to me. (Most online stores just send off a nondescript email & wonder why you aren't pleased.) Very professional on the phone & I will order from them again."
