Very Satisfied Customer

"Very pleased with the customer service this company provided to us. We bought a sectional that is very comfortable but some concern about the fabric wear and tear only 6 months having it. I reached out to this Company, as always got a quick response and even though our issue is not a warranty issue and far outside return policy, they still accommodated us with our request. Admittedly, I feel like they worked with us when they didn't have to but am so grateful for that. "

Dishonest About Backorder -updated*

"I ordered a TV Table on 11/29 that had a very appealing price from Afastores.com. I was called 6 days later to be told that the item had been back-ordered, and would ship on or around 12/26. I specifically stated that I did not want to keep the order if there was a chance that this would continue to happen, as is often the case with some online resellers. I was told that it may be a day or two off, but that the date is usually accurate. I received a call on 12/27 telling me that the table would not be available until 2/5.

UPDATE: Afastores.com called to explain the situation, and while they still cannot guarantee that I will have the table in Februrary, the man was up front about the process and apologized for the inconvenience because the item was not listed as being in limited supply at all. While they still cannot give that guarantee because of uncertainty with the supplier (Ashley Furniture), they did offer a discount for the inconvenience and delay. I'm still not thrilled about the situation, but Afastores.com is definitely doing their part to maintain positive customer relations.

"I just wanted you to know we received the furniture we bought from you on Monday which had been back ordered. Once the furniture came in we appreciate you jumping on top of it and getting it delivered to us before Christmas. The tables are beautiful and look fantastic. FRIENDLY CUSTOMER SERVICE AND WONDERFUL PRODUCTS

"I ordered from AFA and it was my first time. Every time I called with a question I was answered by a warm customer service rep who helped me. I received delivery of my product with full assembly. "I strumbled upon afa stores while shopping for an early christmas gift for my niece. I found the coffee table I wanted to get her for hew new apt and at a price that was much less than anywhere else. The table came undamaged and quickly. Its nice to know their great prices are met with equally wonderful and friendly customer service. "

DON'T shop here

"I ordered a chair, my order said ships within 3-4 business days. Then I get an email saying it has shipped and could take up to 4 weeks. Immediately called to cancel with the carrier and the company. I spoke to the "owner" who began debating with me, poor customer treatment, stated I owed $260 for shipping - after being told I only needed to pay 10%. The "owner" hung up on me after I stated I would file a dispute. "

“Thank you for your review. First I am sorry that you did not have a good experience. We are a family owned business and as such customer satisfaction is of utmost priority. My name is Josh and I am the gentleman that spoke to you. In an effort to make the full details available to our prospective customers id like to share the full situation.

The item ordered leaves our warehouse in 7-10 days which is stated on the item itself. You can see this by viewing the following link: http://www.afastores.com/signature-design-by-ashley-hogan-mocha-2-arm-pressback-chaise.html . The item actually shipped on 10/28 which was 6 days after the order rather than the 7-10 days. Once it shipped our carrier automatically emailed the customer stating that they would be in touch with the customer when it is time to schedule delivery as this is a white glove delivery with free assembly. One day later the customer called our company to cancel the order. We quoted our return policy which is available for everyone here: http://www.afastores.com/return-policy.html . This policy clearly states that once an item has shipped, if it is cancelled the customer pays return shipping and a 10% restocking fee. This is to help offset the fact that we do not charge shipping on the initial order but we pay the carrier to ship it out and then all the way back to us. The customer got upset when we stated this and said she would only pay the restocking fee and not return shipping and if we charged return shipping she would dispute it with her bank. I let her know that it is her right to dispute if she wishes but that we have these policies on our site so that its clear to everyone what they can expect including any credit card company.

AFA Stores goes out of our way to make sure we are fair, and we love that our customers overwhelmingly appreciate our service and policy transparency. ”

"I ordered two items and decided I didn't want one of the items. Josh was extremely helpful in cancelling the order, without charge, even though it was very close to being shipped out. He was kind, courteous and effective. The item I kept was delivered promptly in great shape and was a great price. I would absolutely order from AFA again and would recommend it to friends and family."

"I purchased a broyhill sectional from AFA because the price was unbeatable! After placing my order, it took the estimated time (2 weeks) for my sofa to ship. I received it around a week later. There was a small issue with the delivery company, but upon calling AFA, the problem was resolved within hours! I am extremely happy with the price, quality of product, customer service, delivery, quick follow up to questions, phone calls and my complete overall purchase. I couldn't have asked for anything better. I will definately recommend AFA and buy again. AFA is #1! Thank You for a Smooth Transaction!!"

Bad business practice - avoid this store!

"Made a purchase of tables they stated would ship in 7-10 days with no notation that they were not in stock. I purchased through Afastores.com because all other competitors showed they did not have the item in stock. I received a call and an email 4 days after I placed the order and AFTER they charged my credit card telling me they did not have the item and it would be close to a month before they would receive it.
This is a very misleading business practice that unfairly drove a sale from their competitors to them. Their competitors were cheaper and honest about the item being severely backordered. After calling 4 days after I placed the order, they offered 10% off but I declined opting to go with a more trustworthy retailer. Charging before you ship the item is also against Visa/MasterCard regulations, so I will be notifying my credit card company.
