"After I ordered, on 7/04/11, a Nikon D7000 body,with free upgrades on the
SD cards and extended warranty, I read on several web reviews that they were a terrible company to do business with. Opened factory seals, items missing, lousy customer service, rude to deal with,etc. Needless to say, I was nervous about the purchase. I received the camera today, 7/07/2011, and was relieved to find that everything that they stated would be included was in fact there. They did call me to "verify my address", at which time they tried to pump up the order. I can't really blame them because they're in business to make money. You "Just Say No", as Nancy Reagan used to say, and they will stop the pump-up. I found them to be pleasant to deal with. Overall I would buy from them again, based on my experience."
"I was buying a camera from this company. I noticed some specials offered through the company if you call with your order instead of placing electronically. They have a slick sales pitch and bundled offers that jacks the price up considerably. Well I bought it but on inspection found much better bundles for hundreds less on line. Tried to cancel my order immediately and was met with rude argumentative sales person. Order was cancelled as promised so no issues there but they are a very rude pushy company and will never recommend business with them "

This charge does not appear on my online receipt nor it appear on the receipt they emailed me. This is not a very good experience with this online store. I have my order cancelled."

Bought a Canon EOS 5D Mark II at advertised price of $2,499.95. Paid with credit card. Got invoice at selling price with free delivery. Then got email to contact them. When I did contact them, they tried to sell me accessories and extended warranty at inflated prices. When I declined, they gave me a total at over $2,600. Claimed it included fees....that were never indicated on their web site or the invoice. Tried to get them to honor sale price or face being reported..."Mark"..who also answers their sales line...probably a hole in the wall somewhere outfit...hung up. When I called back and insisted they honor the sale, and provided copy of invoice, he said the camera "would be shipped whenever"...when I insisted it be shipped today as it was in stock, he told me the order was canceled. BEWARE OF THESE CROOKS>>>>>REPORT THEM TO THE DA SO THEY CAN BE SHUT DOWN....do not pay them on their fraudulent fees and/or bait and switch push."
"This is a shady organization. My transaction with them still isn't complete and I feel completely and utterly ripped off. I anticipate that the items I receive will be just as tattered as the customer service experience I've had with them.
First off, the advertised price on ALL of their items is not the actual price. They will e-mail you after you place the order and work hard to upsell. At first, you may well be convinced, as I was. Unfortunately.
They don't mention the shipping insurance (7 percent? Really??) and if you are unhappy with an order and attempt to cancel they will simply tell you it's already on a truck and it's too late. Of course, you can return the item, but will be charged a 10 percent restocking fee and you'll be out any amount of shipping costs you paid.
I usually consider myself a very savvy consumer when it comes to shopping for items. I do a lot of research and plan and prepare for each and every purchase. In this instance, I needed a Canon 7D body for an upcoming wedding (I run a professional photography business with my wife), so I was in a bit of a rush. Now, I am paying for my haste.
When I called AJRichard after receiving an e-mail from them saying that my order couldn't be processed, I was immediately sent into a spiral of their lies. They said they couldn't verify my home phone number, because when they called, my "wife" said it was the wrong number. When I called my wife afterwards, she said that no one had called the house at all. Red Flag, maybe?
I confirmed the number and then the upselling began. They left my head spinning. They do business like street vendors, not a professional organization. Whoever is running the phone lines is the same guy and he will "transfer" your call to your sales rep, who is the same person. If you express any doubt about the order he will go into "street vendor" mode and if you attempt to cancel he will immediately get defensive and nasty.
Listen, if you are reading this, then you are obviously a similar shopper as myself, looking for a good deal and doing a little research before you buy. Good job. Now, don't make my same mistake and buy from these guys (or guy, by the sound of it).
Seriously, by the time you order from amazon, you'll be paying the same amount and you'll have the confidence that your wares will arrive on time and as promised. I expect my camera to arrive as some knock-off made by kids in sweatshops.
I am going to post on every single complaint board I can to ward people away from these people. It's businesses like this that make online shopping a disaster. They are the one bad apple. Stay. Away. "
"Company is one of the worst. They 'Bait and Switch' The call they make to approve your credit is a scam. They want to do their business on the phone so they do not leave a paper trail. They tell you a bunch of lies so you supposedly switch to a better deal. It's a scam because you don't know how bad it is until you get the merchandise. They tell you to send it back if not satisfied. Of course they do not refund shipping costs, (which are highly inflated). they do not refund handling and insurance, (which is a fraud) and then they charge a minimum of 10% restocking fee, (maximum 15%) Stay away from this company like the plague!"
"I had ordered a Nikon D7000 for $1099 on their website. Great price, right? Wrong, they will add a 7% "shipping insurance" tax on the order no matter if you want it or not. Also, shipping insurance through USPS is less than $10, AJRichard was adding $76+. I'm not even sure how they gave me the $1230something price. So they were adding something else on top of it. Don't bother with them, at least they cancel the order upon request."
"I was looking for a Nikon d7000 and found it on amazon first for a 1199.95 and ordered it there, but later on canceled my order with them because i found the same camera body at ajrichard for 1159.95 with the same no shipping, no tax deal. Turn out they charge you a hidden "handling fee" of 60.00. This charge does not appear on your online receipt nor it appear on the receipt they will email you. I accidentally found out about it only by calling their customer service to make sure I will receive my camera before I leave for my vacation. I didn't canceled my order with them at the time because the price on Amazon had gone back up to 1499.95. Couple days later, I called again to find out when the camera will be shipped since the status has been changed to "ready to ship" for 2 days. The same man who answered my call the first time told me it will be shipped tomorrow. The same afternoon I went to Amazon and found the price has dropped back to 1199.95. I call ajrichard try to cancel my order with them. Frankly, I was not happy with the hidden charge and rather pay the same amount of 1159.95 + handling fee with amazon. I read the cancellation policy and it stated that as long as the order is not shipped one can canceled it without paying any extra fees. To be sure, I rechecked my order status and nothing has changed. The SAME MAN answered my call, after hearing the reason of my call he checked my order and said its already shipped. I told him I am the one who called this morning and was told that it will be shipped tomorrow. Also my order status says its not yet shipped. He then told me my order is already on the truck and I will have to wait till I received the order then pay for the restock fee and the return shipping. I told him as far as I know my order is not shipped and I want it to be canceled. Then I told him I am not happy with the hidden handling fee to be start with. He was angry but said will try to cancel my order for me then hang up the phone. I called back still trying to be polite, he answered the call again but pretend to be someone else. I didn't want to get into another argument with him and played alone. I asked him to cancel my order for me again this time, and he then told me seems like his "co-worker" had already done so and my credit card will be credited within 7 to 10 days. He again asked what's the reason for me to canceled my order. I simply told him cause i find it somewhere cheaper. He said "oh well, i was going to offer you another 100 off from our price." At this point I would rather pay a hundred more at anywhere else than buying it from this site. Now I will wait and see if they credit back the full amount back to my credit card."
