My advice would be to call Ryan as soon as you order your system. He has a "cheat sheet" that he will send you. He will also walk you through exactly what to do so you don't have to dig through the manual. There is quite a bit to the systems and setting up a full system will take a little time. The back-end support is what made this transaction all worthwile."

"I couldnt give the 5 star, just for your future reference, the USPS box you used to send the battery, I believe due to the weight and shape of the battery, a hole was made, and the battery nearly came out of the box. It might be a good idea to tape the ends of the box, as the weakest point where you close the tabs broke.
Other than that, I was satisfied with the sale, communication of this transaction. It seems that the battery lasts for about 2 years, so I might be getting in contact with you again, sometime in late 2014/early 2015.

"I am a DIYer. I bought the DSC 1864 system along with seven motion detectors, 6 keypads, an IP BAT, a couple of two-wire smoke detectors and a number of other items (in several orders). After doing a lot of research on the internet, I started the installation. During my install a number of issues came up (due to my lack of knowledge). I had several conversations with Ryan Malanoski, who is the AlarmSystemStore.com tech. Ryan always returned my call promptly and was very helpful regarding all of my issues. He provided great customer service and helped me get my system up and running. I also had a few conversations with Jon regarding the activation and installation of the IP BAT. "Excellent Tech Support ! I bought my Vista 20P from another online store and really had no problem with them but I needed more parts so this time Alarm System Store had better prices on wiring and the 4229 Expansion board I needed.The order arrived in 2 days I live in MA and I was surprised. I went to install the 4229 and tested it every which way but could not get it to work with my new Vista 20p I called Tech Support but being Saturday no one was there because of the weekend. All online security places are closed for tech support on weekends. So I sent an e-mail Saturday 7/14/12 in hopes of being first in line for Tech Support on Monday. I got a phone call back Saturday morning 7/14 from Ryan I could'nt believe it being closed and all. I explained to him that I was a Master Electrician with over 35 years of experience and that the board he sent me was bad, and I might need a new one. Ryan worked with me all day Sat on and off and Sunday 7/15 until the problem was corrected.
There was nothing wrong with the 4229 board I had wired it wrong! I want to thank Ryan for helping me on his weekend off and I will be buying all my alarm items from this company in the future. I'm not in business this is for my home I'm just a homeowner not an alarm guy. This stuff gets very confusing !
Trust me there is a difference where you buy your stuff. I've been wanting this system for 2 years but was afraid of programming issues. If you have a problem this company will take care of you. "
