"I love this computer. I was amazed to find that for the specs i wanted Alienware was actually 300 to 500 dollars cheaper than Dell, Gateway or HP. The system arrived and everything runs smoothly no glitches at all. I have owned computer since the first Commadores came out and this is the first time that a new computer hasn't had some issue or another in the first weeks of ownership. The quality of craftsmanship inside is excellent most systems when you open them up are a mass of disorginized cables. The computer in neatly layed out cables run and bundled and out of the way. I cant think of a single thing about the my experience with this computer so far that i have not enjoyed. Excellent buying process and amazing computer."

"Online customization of the computer couldn't have been any easier. Multiple options were given for every component of the machine and the price was updated accordingly when changes were made.

Communication about the status of the order was extreme good as well. After purchasing the computer, you could look at a specific webpage and see what part of the productions your computer was in.

Alienware also exceeded my expectations for shipping in a cost efficient and timely manner. The website said shipping wouldn't occur for about 2 weeks after my order, but much to my surprise, they built my computer quickly and with great care and the order was actually shipped only a few days after the initial purchase.

All in all, my experience at Alienware was fantastic and when the time comes for me to upgrade or get a new computer, I plan on using them again. I would also recommend Alienware to my friends and family as they have provided me with the best online shopping experience and the best computer I have ever had!!

"The service was wonderful. I called in rather than ordering online because it was a family member's credit card that I used for payment. The salesman I spoke to was friendly and knowledgeable, and he was easily able to look up my saved online cart and sell it to me over the phone. All aspects of the call were handled quickly and professionally and my order was placed promptly. After the sale I received e-mails for every step of the way, from confirming receipt of order/payment to notification of shipment with a tracking number. The package arrived even before the website's estimated shipping date which made things even better. I would certainly recommend buying from Alienware and I know I will for all future laptop purchases."

"First of all, the Alienware live chat staff provided excellent support throughout the entire purchasing process. They answered all my questions before I ordered anything, while I was ordering, and even afterwards.
Alienware has a really neat alert-system set up so that they keep you updated with your order on very minute details. The updating is also accurate.
One thing that truly amazed me was the speed at which Alienware strived to build and ship my order. It was as if they knew I needed it by a certain date. They shipped it to me about 2 weeks before the estimated ship date!

"I wish I could give a better review to Alienware for the laptop I ordered but their customer service in my case was pretty unreasonable.

First off, the laptop itself is great so far. The quality leaves nothing to be desired. The problem was with the shipping and service afterward. Alienware used Fedex Ground (not the usual fedex most of us think of when we hear the name), who seriously mishandled my order.

I ended up having to jump through several hoops to get my laptop shipment from the Fedex terminal, and, long story short, the manager of the terminal was 100% willing under the circumstances to refund the approx. $70 it cost to ship the system. He gave me his direct phone number and told me to call Alienware and have them call him to arrange for the refund (since Alienware is, in fact, the contracting party on the shipment).

So I called Alienware, who refused to accept the refund for me. For no real reason - it's not like they would have had to do anything more than call and say "yes, we will take that money back, thanks." There was no unwillingness on the part of Fedex to return the money, they completely accepted responsibility for the shipping issue.

But because Alienware decided to be a collective jerk about it and say they wouldn't do it, I was unable to get a refund.

If they won't even help you out when there's no loss to them, what do you think would happen if there was a problem they might have to take a financial hit on?

Therefore, I'd have to say that despite the product, I'd never purchase from Alienware again. There are other companies who do similar work in building systems and don't have the poor customer service reputation Alienware appears to have (and appears willing to let grow). If I'd checked into that aspect of the company earlier I probably wouldn't have bought from them in the first place, but I did, and now I'm stuck with it.

I'd go with someone else, if I were you."

"I've had a couple of problems with my alienware area51M17x laptop. 1: A not completely connected internal power cord which alienware's tech support staff did a wonderful job walking me through correcting. 2: The order status page is always incorrect & after receiving 5 responses that the problem was fixed it never was. 3: Both times there was a delay in my order I was notified the Saturday after 5pm. However, even after all these problems my laptop runs great, there are no flaws in any hardware & even runs a burn in test maxing out cpu, ram, & video cards for 2 days without a hiccup. I highly recommend alienware laptops but I do not appreciate having to e-mail weekly for status updates.-John"

"I recently purchased an Alienware Area 51-7500. It arrived on the date that was estimated, which was a plus. Out of the box, I have had no problems. I love the sleek design and the finish is silky smooth. It plays all games including WoW and Call of Duty 4, on high graphics, max everything. :D. I have always wanted one of these computers, built custom for the last 6 years, and decided to just go all out this time. "Purchased Amienware m15x. Very pleased with the performance, build, and styling of this computer. The graphics are amazing on this machine, and the glossy screen has excellent color and contrast. Everything has worked so far, although the media controls can be difficult (lack of feedback, and occasionally unresponsive, which can be difficult to discover because there is no feedback to tell if it has tried to change settings or not). Overall the best laptop I have ever used. My second Alienware, and my next computer will also be an Alienware."
