"Ordered a new, unused, not refurbished humidifier. Received product in absolutely filthy condition. I'm talking dirty brown paper towel inside unit, hard water stains all over tank, just disgusting condition. I had been on and off the phone with representatives confirming another unit on it's way for 4 weeks. After speaking with a senior support representative I was promised a refund within the week. It's been 3 and a half weeks since then with no refund yet. Do not order from this company. "
"Horrible customer service, very long long shipping times for medical supplies, and the discount codes are not accurate, they're already a discount medical supply co. so if it is already a discount price the code wont work so it's a little deceitful. Still decent prices though if you can handle the very bad customer service, which I dealt with when they had short shipping times but now they take a week and a half to get here so there is absolutely no reason for me personally shop there anymore. "I made an online purchase from this company on 10/17/2011. I only received part of my order. After (2) weeks has passed without receiving the rest of my order, I attempted to contact them using their online customer service form. I received no response. Over the course of a week, I attempted to get an update on my purchase (3) times. Allegro Medical customer service never responded. Finally, after (17) days with no response and no product, I called them. After being placed on hold for 24 minutes, the customer service representative informed me that my order was never sent to the manufacturer. I was told that my order would be resubitted. Time will tell if I receive my order.
Even if I do eventually end up getting my order, I will stand by my complaint and recommendation to stay away from this company. My beef with them is not that they messed up my order. I understand that a business will make mistakes sometimes. My beef is that they would not respond to any of my online inquiries. I assume the only reason they have the online complaint form is to give the appearance that they care. I'm now finding that many people have had the same experience that I have (some worse). If they had taken the time to respond to my online complaint, the discovery of their mistake would have been resolved much earlier. As it stands now I'm out of my money, have no product and never even received an apology.
The bottom line, if customer service means anything to you, avoid the headaches that I and many other customers have experienced and try one of the other online medical supply businesses."
"My wife ordered an orthopedic pillow from them. After 10 days it had not arrived so she called and was told the pillow was delivered two days previously. Wrong. She told them she no longer wanted their pillow and bought one locally. A week later a pillow arrived, Allegro claimed they had reshipped after being told she no longer wanted their pillow. "I ordered 5 items on 05/10/11. By 06/01/20, only 4 of the 5 items had arrived. Additionally, 2 of the 4 items were something different than expected. Regarding the missing item, a customer service rep apologized and stated it would be shipped immediately. The item arrived 3 days later. My second problem related to an incorrect item I ordered. I ordered the incorrect item because an Allegro customer service rep provided me with the incorrect Allegro item number. I was told the correct items (which were cheaper) would be shipped and to discard the incorrect item. As of 06/21 they hadn't arrived. I spoke w/ Ashley in customer service who said no replacements would be shipped because I made the mistake & ordered the wrong item. Rude, arrogant & obnoxious. She is EVERYTHING that exemplifies horrible customer service, all over less than $6 worth of merchandise. Their prices are high & they do NOT value their customers."
"Just want to add my review as yours was the first site that showed up when I started looking for customer reviews of Allegro Medical.
Allegro Medical sent me a different (cheaper) blood pressure monitor than the one I ordered. When I contacted them, they agreed to arrange for a prepaid shipping label so I could send it back.
After waiting for days for this label to show up, I sent e-mails but got no response. So remembering the advice of others on your site, I filed on on-line complaint with the Arizona BBB and also put the charge into dispute with my credit card company.
Voila! Just before the Arizona BBB notified them of my complaint, I receive an e-mail with the UPS label as an attachment! No explanation for why it took 8 days past the time I was told I would receive it (sounded as if they were sending it through regular mail!)
I am letting Arizona BBB know that they sent me the shipping label but am asking that they not close the case until the total charge is credited back to my account (again, per one of your reviewers' experience)."
"Wow! I had no idea this vendor was such crap. I'm glad I found other users that have had similar experiences to my own. My Dad orders urostomy supplies and I thought this place was the only supplier. After many instances where there was no response from their customer service, I found another company, Sport Aid (Sportaid.com) that sells the same items, so a fond farewell forever Allegro!
PS - I'll post a review of Sport Aid once my shipment arrives.
Update - Got order from Sportaid. They are fast and reasonable. Very happy to have found replacement! "
"WARNING: they sell defective products and have rude, terrible customer service. Steer clear at all costs. I ordered a sale item based on a promotion, and first of all was promised free shipping only to discover I had been charged for that. Then the item arrived and it was clear why it was on sale -- completely defective and unassemblable. Customer service refused to arrange a pickup from me (I recently had back surgery and am unable to deliver a heavy item to a shipping facility) and said that a) shipping would not be refunded, even after returning the defective object, and 2) if, upon returning the item they decided it was "OK", I would be charged AGAIN for the return shipping!! AND not receive a refund. This place is disreputable and a ripoff. "
"On 11/1/2010, I placed two orders for supplies from Allegro Medical. The 1st order arrived only 1/10 filled. It said that the other orders would follow but the 9/10s didn't arrive with the 2nd order. After calling the company, I finally got the other 9/10ths. The 2nd order I couldn't use so I called for an RMP number. When my credit card was not credited a week after the return was delivered to the sender, I called and was told that no record could be found but that it would be researched and that I would receive a call by the end of the day. No one called that day or since. I sent a message through website and received an email Monday, 11/ 29/ 2010 at 8:11 PM saying that they would have the refund done Monday Morning. An email to the President of the company, ****@****, got no response. The company is full of incompetents."
"Would never buy from them again. Ordered different items from them, including wound dressing, wraps and different tablets such as aspirin, Acetaminophen.
First received a partial shipment with only about a quarter of the items of my order.
Waited a week and no further shipment was made despite every item remaining in my order being listed as in stock. Called in and after waiting 30 min was told their computers were down and they can't access my order. Try again tomorrow.
Ok, well I try again a few days later and wait another 30 min to reach someone. At first the cust. serv. rep. tried to convince me my order was complete. Wasn't till I pointed out that if they add up the cost of what they sent it doesn't add up to the total I spent. Then miraculously the rep. found the rest of my order claiming he had forgotten to page down. LOL.
Ok, so a couple days later I get a second shipment but again is not my complete order. Still missing about 4 items. Call in again, more time waisted.
I eventually get a 3rd shipment but again this still does not complete my order. So I call in to cancel the remaining items in my order which they accept and cancel.
However, checking my credit card statements over the past several months I realized Allegro never credited me back for the canceled items.
I also sent a long detailed email just after placing the order to take advantage of their price guarantee. Never heard back from them about it. Actually they never responded to any email, always had to call in.
It is simply not worth the trouble of dealing with Allego Medical. AVOID!"
"Worst online experience I've ever had. Feb. 23, 2010 I purchased 2 grab bars for my father's tub. Paid extra $40.00 for expidited shipping and the bars arrived shortly after my father passed away (4 days late after I made several calls and was assured it would arrive on time). Allegro told me to reject the order so my credit card could be credited in a timely fashion. After several phone calls and customer service guarantees of compliance I am still waiting as of May 3, 2010. Will never ever do business with Allegro again."
