"Unit arrived w/ internal damage which was not visible until closer inspection of the coils (i.e. inside the panels) and the overall system, which appeared to have been dropped while on a pallet, shifting the entire internal system to one side, compromising vital internal parts. Additionally, the coils (unrelated) had been crushed in what appears to be manufacturing/assembly of the unit inner parts. All was well documented in photos and emails along with an AC tech locally. While customer service was polite, communication with them was inconsistent, slow in response (days...) and in the end, misleading. I incurred $400 of expense getting unit installed/uninstalled and back to the edge of my drive way for return pick up. I was instructed by the Customer Service Manager in an email, "Once this product is returned, a new product will be shipped to you." After confirming they had received the unit, they refunded my charge for the unit, ignoring their email stating they would replace it with an undamaged unit... which is what I'd paid for to begin with. Never did they say, I was incurring all this time and expense for a refund. At this point, aside from the install/uninstall, I already purchased add'l accessories from Alpine specific for the unit (collars, heater, electrical whip) among other items locally specific to the sizes for installation. Factoring in their poor QA/QC, shipping a unit w/ manuf. damage, slow response to emails, lack of following thru on what was explicitly stated in the emails by a Manager, I must say the experience has been unpleasant. I've asked more than once to speak with the Owner's, only to be hung up on by the Customer Service Manager."

"The delivery time was very good. However, the diameters of the reducer were not exactly spot-on. Or, maybe the stovepipe that we were putting it into was not spot-on. Don't know.
But we had a hard time fitting that reducer into the existing stovepipe that needed that reducer. So I cannot say that anyone in particular was at fault, just that the diameters did not quite meet and it took awhile and effort to make it fit."
