"After spending hours reserching differant suppliers for the products that I wanted, it was a breath of fresh air to find Alpine who could provide turnkey service and products including taking care of shipping to Canada. All tax.s, brokerage fees and tarifs were taken care of.

"Yes, I appreciated the quick delivery and discount price, but after the four-bulb shipment came and I installed two, they wouldn't light. Ouch! In a call to your company, two persons were most helpful; I explained that the cardboard tubes were loose in a large box with only a little bubble wrap, about a quarter of what was needed to fill the big box. On the other hand, had to agree it probably wasn't the bulbs since the chance of two being out was slim, and my 8-year-old system probably had ballast failure; am now exploring that; might have to return to you for a ballast price. But keep my packaging note in mind next time you send out bulbs! — David C. Hendrickson, Portland, OR"

"I ordered a new furnace, thermostat, outdoor temperature sensor, and isolation blocks. I received all but the thermostat 2 days after I ordered, and in good condition. The thermostat however, took 7 phone calls and 3 and a half weeks to arrive at my door. Not to mention a lot of frustration. If not for the thermostat debacle, I would have given 5 stars. After the waiting and finally being lied to (by being told it was overnighted to me on a Thursday and not receiving it until the following Monday), I downgraded to 3 stars. Everything was received in good condition and working order. I just wish they had handled the thermostat situation with a lot more professionalism. "

"Very funny that this email was entitled "Did Alpine Deliver?"...
The issue is that they, in fact, did not and have not.
My order was processed with no issue (prior to the order Alpine staff were very helpful, I must say) and I was notified a few days later that one item was backordered (the heat pump) and there was not idea when it would be available. I asked if the rest of the order could be shipped so that I could begin installation, or at the very least if the install DVD could be shipped so that I could begin prepping. The employee whom let me know that the item was backordered didn't feel like it was worth responding to my request, despite multiple email attempts. Alpine did bill me for the entire amount when the order was placed... even though they didn't even have the items??? So, at the end of the day, I am way behind on a project because Alpine charged me for an order that they did not have in stock, refused to ship the items that did have in stock, but wouldn't even correspond with me to let me know what was going on. I would have ordered elsewhere had I known that I couldn't get what I needed asap. Update: I received an email several days ago letting me know the order would ship on or before Nov 25. It is Nov 26 and if it has shipped, not one has contacted me. Avoid Alpine, its not worth the hassle.
