"Ordered an older S939 Motherboard. Arrived DOA. Verified DOA w/ known good parts and by contacting the manuf. Foxconn. Was advised that the board is out of warranty status from Foxconn. Contacted Alvio for RMA. After a few weeks they finally confirmed it was dead and offered a refund. Overall customer service was OK, not good or bad. Unfortunately, it turns out they did not refund the shipping, so, I'm out $26 (shipping x2) for nothing.

"Do not shop with Alvio.com. They did not ship my order promptly, nor did they email me to indicate that there would be a delay. After three business days, I called them. They did not answer the phone until two hours later. When they did answer, they said that they could not ship the item promptly. To meet my deadline, I had to pay for expedited shipping to get my order on time.
Dealing with Alvio.com cost my $50 in shipping fees. Not recommended."

"absolutely terrible. the site stated that there were 15 units in stock when i ordered. after ordering i waited the 3-5 days it stated before asking when it would be shipped. I received no answer to my messages sent, and they never answered any of their phones. 9 days after the original order I got an email stating that the order was canceled due to them nt having the item in stock. it is still listed as in stock on their website."

I bought my computer of 5 years ago from a company called ACompInc.com. You enter that in now, and it takes you to Alvio. I thought "OK, either Alvio bought Acomp, or they changed their name."
I tried calling, and the phone service was .. acceptable. I kept getting transferred and sent to answering machines. OK.
But I emailed them, and got a full and accurate reply the next day, so cool. Their email team is fast and responsive, I recommend it.
Website seemed entirely the same setup, so I carried on. Placed the order for the computer I wanted, ordered, and provided money. $700 was taken out the next day.
They said it would take XX amount of full business days to ship, with XX days added on for this and XX days added on for that, with XX days for shipping. Cool, standard stuff.
XX amount of full business days passed, and I hadn't received a shipping invoice. I started to wonder, so I checked out this website.
It seems like these guys are frauds or something? I got really worried from all the bad reviews here!
A day or two later, my order shipped. I got it, everything was included, and everything seems to work just fine so far.
I thought I would write these guys a good review - they did me right, and all these bad reviews had me really worried!
I build computers all the time for my friends and acquaintances, and Alvio provides just the amount of customization I needed.
If they just improved their phone service just a little bit, that would be my only suggestion. But nobody's perfect, and these guys are in the business of making computers, not having charming sales reps.
Anyway, Alvio is good and I will shop with them again. Don't believe all the negative reviews, I may be one guy but they treated me right!"

Avoid Alvio at all costs! I bought 2 AMD Opteron processors from them. My stupidity of not going through eBay and settled the deal on the side so there was no purchase proof and thus gave them a perfect chance to steal my money.
Money has wired thru Western Union and since then the guys at Alvio were vanished. Attorney general required them to refund me and 2 years have gone, I still got nothing.

"Prior to purchasing from Alvio, I had read some negative reviews of them. But I decided to take a chance because they had the lowest price on a remote KVM server card that I needed.
I'm glad that I took the chance because everything went well. Fast customer support, courteous service, and my item shipped within 3 business days. I plan to purchase from them again soon. If all goes well with that transaction as well, then I'm willing to say that this is a company that has learned from it's past mistakes and is doing a good job to redeem themselves."
