"I love Amazon. I have bought numerous items from Amazon over the years. The items have always been as described and they have good to very good prices. The service is great. When I have had to return a product, it has been very easy."

"Sometimes buying from these massive retailers is difficult, but admittedly I *love* amazon. Over the years, there was only one mishap out of dozens of orders, and they were prompt to fix their mistake, on their dime, and even give a discount on the next purchase. "I decided to give the new "amazon local delivery" service a try for a book I was supposed to give my nephew. The order went smoothly as with most amazon orders, however they apparently delayed my order processing and refunded me the local delivery charge. Additionally the courier for amazon was unable to get into my house due to a family member locking down the place a bit too much. He kindly called me and told me he safely hid the package behind the gating of my house.

A few things to note here:
1)Amazon Prime is ultra expensive, however you get these kinds of deliveries when eligible for $5.99.


2)I have lost over $700 in packages from theft in my neighborhood. We've resorted to having someone stay home and watch for packages like a hawk.

3)Fedex has been known for just lugging packages on the steps and driving away. They've also just allowed anyone who walked by the front of my house sign for a package.

To see a service that actually gave a crap about my package and made sure it got there in one piece is amazing. Yes, Fedex, ups and all those other services are not courier services true. However the price for the delivery is only $3 off of 2 day.

Plus I also like that amazon kept its word on making sure the products listed were delivered when promised. I didn't even ask for them to refund the cost it was done so automatically when they did not keep their end of the bargain. "

"I've been using Amazon since 1998. Only once in that time did I have an isue with a return. One day after logging my complaint a supervisor called and made everything right. My only complaint is when I need to return something a few months ago I could not locate a phone number anyplace on site and vendor never called or emailed me about return.
