"Amazon as a reseller is an absolute and utter disaster! I work for a company who sells products to Amazon, and I have tell: their returns policy is... well... ****. (Not to mention their rebate tactics, but that's for another time...)
So, the way Amazon returns products to us is completely out of control, inconsistent, and questionable!
So, if you accept some advice from someone who has to "work with them" (in quotes, as I don't really have a choice here): NEVER EVER DO BUSINESS WITH AMAZON!!!!! EVER!!!!!!"

"a short-time ago, the order had not been even processed. I cancelled the order. Amazon should have notified me that the order would never arrive by December 24, 2017. They did not. I had to check on the status of the order myself. I am also trying to cancel my account with Amazon and they make it very difficult. I ordered a short-time ago the same items from Best Buy, and the items, which cost the same as Amazon, will be ready for me to pick up at a local store this evening. I do not recommend Amazon. "I've bought many things from Amazon, a generator that was bought new came with gas in the tank, a spark plug with a fuel additive all over it and though the oil had been drained out a new oil container was in the box and seal up as if it was new, also gas was in the fuel lines.
Next Item, putty knife sold as new stainless steel, it was chromed tin which started chipping off it on the first use, too late to get my money back by the time i know.
Many orders for a product from a US company, received a switched product from a British company, Amazon never dealt with my complaint and let it continue.
They block critical reviews that are clearly within their guide lines repeatedly.

Don't blame the retailer when UPS screws up and understand that during the holidays-- things get delayed. Things ship from the East Coast to the West within 5 days. That used to take months and people would DIE getting there.

I had a huge order with two packages that got delayed because UPS Sure-Post is awful, and one package that got "delivered" but really didn't. Got a refund for all three within minutes so I could re-order myself.

"Received my order in literally only 2 days. I was told 5-10 and wow it was delivered in just 2. I'm happy with Amazon. I've only had an issue once when I ordered a phone case and it didn't arrive til a month and some odd days later but that was years ago. Amazon has really good prices/deals on shipping also."

"Ever since amazon decided to cut in to the shipping business, they constantly lose items, damage items, and don't give a damn. As a prime member, I'm guaranteed 2 day delivery, and they consistently miss the deadline. Today, it was allegedly in a vehicle passing my shop, and somehow was damaged while the dude was in the parking lot! Now, I have a tractor that can't be moved due to a damaged oil filter, and we are going to be penalized for not finishing the job. "Amazon doesn't care about it's sellers. 90% of the time when you sell an item the shipping charge that Amazon charges the buyer only covers about half of what it actually costs to ship. They obviously expect seller to eat that extra cost. Why aren't buyers charged the actual shipping cost? Taking advantage of seller to pocket more for Amazon."
