"I have ordered new graphics card on Amazon. The package I received contained a completely different graphics card, on top of that it had signs of usage with dust on the fans and scratches on the frame. The mailing box was sealed without any signs of being opened, however the box of the graphics card itself came without any safety wrap or seals.
After that I have left a review of the product on Amazon and attached photos of the used graphics card. Then I contacted customer service and followed their instructions. They told me to send the graphics card back to Amazon. Upon receiving the graphics card I was told that I won’t get the money back because it was a different card. However, I don’t have another card, I returned the only card sent to me by Amazon. I was refused a refund and the card I’ve returned was disposed.
Our family are regular customers at Amazon. Out of all the purchases we haven’t returned anything except this graphics card.
Customer service can't help me. "
"I was an Amazon customer from 2000 until 2021. For the first 10 months of 2021, I had placed over 120 orders. I even joined Prime this year.
Out of the blue, when I went to write a review (I probably write them for about half of the things I buy, and I'd say the positive ones were around 80%) I found my account was restricted due to questionable reviews. This is where Amazon lost me as a customer. I tried to find out what exactly (if anything) I had done wrong, and all I could get out of "customer service" was a link to their review guidelines. I read through them and did not violate any of them. Of course, Amazon's reps could not / would not tell me exactly WHY my account was flagged, just referred me to the guidelines page. Sending an email to the customer service account there was a waste of time- never got a reply. I likened dealing with Amazon to be worse than dealing with the DMV. Just linking guidelines w/o a specific violation is like getting pulled over and the police officer just handing you a law book.
At this point after several days, I decided the hassle was not worth it. I closed my Prime account, and then ran into further hassle closing the account. It took several days, and then Amazon wanted to call me to close the account- meaning no written accountability. No thanks, I replied to the email and said I just want to be done with Amazon. My account was finally closed after that.
Up until this incident I was very satisfied with Amazon for both product selection and usually pricing, as well as the return policy- which is the only reason this is 2 stars vs 1. What's really hypocritical here is Amazon's claim as being earth's most customer-centric company."
"This is the third time I've had the driver stop for about 1 minute then drive away. Then check the the tracking and it says "Carrier is unable to gain access to front door to deliver the package. Please contact the carrier to resolve" but there is nothing but a yard with no fence, no dogs, nothing to impede them from getting out of their vehicle and walk to the door. There is also no number to call to talk to the carrier. All I can do is call amazon in India to log it."
"I bought a single box of GOJO 800 ml soap for a dispenser. They put the soft box in a recyclable plastic shipping bag. The bag got crushed and the soap was all inside the bag, leaking out on to other things. I wanted to contact Amazon to replace it and tell them to put in in a crush-proof box but there's no where to contact them, no way to email or call them. When I wanted to "replace" the item, they wanted me to send back the item ordered. I was very tempted to send it back to them, mess and all but my husband said it wasn't worth the hassle. I did try to write a review to tell people that it wasn't the item (couldn't use it) but the packaging for shipping. Amazon kicked it back and said I should use the shipping avenue. Well, unless it was Amazon delivery (I think this was UPS) you can't review it. I was very disappointed that shippers can't think that a box that soft (to go into the dispenser) should not be shipped unprotected."
"Amazon is like apple; they seem to have no interest in quality control for third party resellers. I got a Bissell pet vac attachment from the Amazon Bissell store. The item I got did not look like the photo at all and did not have Bissell brand name. I think I was a victim of bait and switch, possibly a dishonest merchant using the Bissell name to trick customers.
Fraud. Some items on amazon have names that are similar to well known brands in obvious attempts to fool shoppers. I have seen some sellers use terms like OEM, which means original equipment manufacturer, even though the items they are selling are obviously cheap counterfeits. Using the term oem in this manner is fraudulent.
Bribery. So far I have not had any amazon merchants offer me free products in exchange for positive reviews.
Fake reviews and items. If you check a website like Fakespot, you will find that surprisingly many amazon reviews are manipulated to boost star ratings. Somewhere I read that over half the stuff sold online is counterfeit so beware! Note that the remarks in this section are likely applicable to any online retailer.
Prices. Do your research on prices and be sure you are comparing the same thing. Some companies use bundles or kits with special pricing to make things confusing. Some amazon merchants have crazy high prices or super high shipping charges. It’s not uncommon to see a high price for an item and then
“Free” shipping. The shipping cost is built into the price of the item. Also watch for suspiciously cheap prices with insane shipping charges. Amazon and walmart both allow resellers that gouge customers at times. Sometimes it is cheaper to just go to the manufacturer of the item you want and buy from them.
Return policy. Amazon return policy is great if you can find the problem within the very short return window. Usually it takes longer for problem to develop, longer than thirty days. If you are within the time limit, returns are easy and refund is prompt.
Shipping reliability. Shipping performance has been spotty at times but that is true with anyone. I have learned that UPS cannot track packages once they are put on the truck. Sometimes an item gets lost in transit, Amazon offers to refund my money, and UPS offers to refund my cost as well. Then the item arrives. If I was as dishonest as some amazon resellers, I could get my money back twice and get a free item! Crazy. USPS at times has only a 50/50 chance of delivery to the right address, especially after that idiot trump sabotaged their operation. The Amazon delivery service has been quite good, better than UPS or USPS.
Shipping speed. Most of the time my items arrive pretty quickly. No need for wasting money on gimmicks like amazon prime. We had prime for awhile. It took two business days to get stuff anyway and I can get service about that quick for free. It is annoying when amazon sends email saying “your item is on the way” and when I check the tracking info, the item hasn’t been shipped yet. Amazon thinks all of us customers are dumb. Many amazon customers, however, are incredibly stupid and it costs you money! Read the questions people ask, and the answers others give. You’ll quickly get the impression that many amazon customers are so stupid they can’t possibly figure out how to set up an amazon account by themselves."

"I returned order ***-***-****-1548260 to Amazon Locker at July 11, with the label printed and used PIN amazon emailed the me. And since July 12, this return status is return on the way, so I began to wait for me refund. I contacted live chat several times to check the return status, costumer service always let me wait and tell me it can process up to two weeks. However I still didn't get the refund.Yesterday I contacted costumer service again and they said tracking is no information updated, they will check this case and get back to me. I received email which ask me to provide return receipt otherwise I can not get the refund. Then I called Amazon Locker, the lady answered the phone told me that sometimes they don't sent email for return confirmation and let me explain this situation to Amazon(All the phone record can be checked). The worst thing is, now when I checking return status online for that order, it was removed, order status became order delivered. I saved the return instruction and label I printed, attached below. I used the PIN to open the locker, and I do believe you guys have the record of who opened locker or have camera on locker. The management of Amazon Locker should improve, it's so confusing. If refund need receipt why Locker didn't sent me confirmation of received my item? And I really hope you guys help me to find the locker use history, I entered that PIN and I put things in the locker, I thought this is the most safety to return, but now I cannot get my refund. Please let IT service check the record to that locker. OR check maybe someone work at locker stolen the package. REALLY DISAPPOINTED NOW."
"My experience from purchase to using my CyberPower MasterBox NR640 has been beyond excellent. Shipping was blazing fast as you would expect with most Amazon orders. While unboxing the PC any thought I had that it may have acquired some damage while in transit left my mind with seeing how well packed it was with foam inside and out of the PC. Setting it up was literally plug-and-play. Then after my games finished downloading and several demanding hours of game play the fans never became auditable, and the amazing looking case stayed cool to the touch.
The only difficult part in this whole experience was deciding which PC to pick from their wide, and magnificent selection. "
