"My dad ordered a $700 fishman loudbox and it had defective bass problems.

Amazon fully refunded his amount and we didn't have to go through the hassle of shipping it back.

I trust amazon 100% and would recommend them to others. Not many companies take care of you like amazon does.

To those who put negative reviews. I'd say they are probably confusing amazon for their third party sellers.

When you buy something from amazon always check to see if it's shipped and sold by amazon.com or amazon llc!

They have great community product reviews and their lightning deals are sahweet! Check slickdeals.net for great amazon deals once in a while!

"I have had very few issues with Amazon. First, I joined as a free member, then, I got Amazon Prime student for free, then I joined paid prime, because the benefits are really worth it. The only time I have ever run into trouble is because of something I ordered wrong or my 4 year old ordered off of the Kindle when I wasnt paying attention. I always get great customer service, especially when I use mayday. I only seem to get an international rep whenever i use the regular chat on the website, but if it is something complicated, they have always esclated it to an American. I am very happy with Amazon. I feel like it is one of the only companies I can really count on to keep consistent service."

"I Nov. 24th I ordered a tablet from Amazon and paid extra for 2-day shipping. It's now 11/28 and it appears the package was lost on 11/25. Amazon has made no attempt to contact me, refund my shipping or do anything to correct the situation. The same tablet is now available at Best Buy for almost the same price and I'm stuck waiting for them to send me a new one. "

"I purchased a pair of Alpine speakers online. I received them in August and due to my schedule, I wasn't able to install them until November. Upon installation, I noticed one speaker was defective. I contacted Amazon only to learn they were not willing to do ANYTHING to help resolve this. I was told that it was past 60 days and I had to contact Alpine. I asked Eric L is Amazon was an authorized reseller for Alpine and was assured there will be "No problem" getting Alpine to replace the bad speakers. "They are great with customers of Amazon". I called Alpine only to learn Amazon is NOT an authorized reseller and Alpine will not honor ANY warranty since I bought them from Amazon. I called Amazon back and told them what Alpine said and asked if there was anything they can do. They said they would give me a "Partial credit". When I was able to pin them down on what "partial" meant, I was told $20. 3 month old $140 speakers that were defective from the start and I should be honored they will give me a $20 credit. Shipping back the speakers cost almost that much. I will NEVER purchase from them again."

"Amazon is as sleezy as yelp. I had to contact them SIX TIMES about an unauthorized charge! Each time, I had to tell my story over and over!! HOW ANNOYING!

As if that's not bad enough, all of the hardly-English speakers ask you to repeat EVERYTHING! "Sorry, what was that? Sorry could you repeat that? Sorry I didnt get that" They are the least empathetic.

Then comes the worst part....
They said that my inquiry will be escalated to a supervisor, that supervisor said it will be passed on to another supervisor, and that they will get back to me within 2-3 business days. It's been a week and I am on hold yet again with them AS I WRITE THIS REVIEW!!

Horrible horrible customer service!!
I have been on hold for a grand total of approximately 2.5 hours in all the phone calls i made to amazon customer service!

"Amazon deserves a much higher rating. No one is perfect but amazon strives to please the customer and people need to understand the love they have and their willingness to serve. Im not joking. People need to appreciate this company and the lengths it goes through to please their customers. Even if they mess up. They do not very often and their marketplace people are also pretty good peeps. But if they do mess up. Remember that you are not perfect so magnify that a million times and what you get is a truly amazing entity."

"UPDATED: After no one at Amazon was able to explain WHY my seller review was removed or could allow me to resubmit a review for the seller, an Amazon rep refunded me the cost of the order in question.

While that was much appreciated, I never did get the answer I sought about why it was deleted in the first place, as the explanation in the email was clearly incorrect. The fact that they deleted it and gave an invalid reason is concerning, to say the least. I almost suspect the seller (Seller1on1), knowing I could not resubmit a review after 90 days, created a false report after 90 days and Amazon deleted it without really looking in to it.

ORIGINAL REVIEW:

As other users have pointed out, Amazon is filtering their reviews to remove negative ones, both about Amazon and also the third party sellers whose orders they fulfill (and likely make a tidy profit).

Additionally, their "customer service" can do nothing to actually help except read off of a script and sent irrelevant link.

I left feedback about a seller in August of this year. Now, in November, I get an email saying my feedback had been removed because it did not meet their guidelines.

Here is the part of the email that explains the specifics:

"Your feedback comment:
Seller sent multiple emails requesting feedback... Very annoying....

Reason for removal:
Feedback submitted was a product review and not related to seller. "

The feedback WAS clearly about the seller, yet they removed it, claiming it wasn't.

To make matters worse, the email says, "Please take a moment to review the details of the removal
below. You may then choose to revise and resubmit your feedback. " However, there is no option to revise my feedback

And, even worse, trying to contact Amazon about this issue was a nightmare. No one knew anything more than their flow chart of answers and it ended up being a waste of time.

Finally, they said that seller feedback cannot be left more than ninety days after the purchase. How convenient that they waited until just after the ninety day window to remove my negative feedback, effectively leaving me with no option to leave seller feedback.

Between the deceitfulness of removing negative reviews, the false reason given for the removal of said reviews, and the amazingly poor customer service, I am very close to dropping Amazon Prime and shopping elsewhere, especially with more and more local retailers now matching Amazon prices.

In closing, Amazon manipulates reviews, at least those of their partner sellers, and has pathetic customer service.

Almost forgot to add... Even Amazon Prime has gone downhill, as they seem to have added a day or two for processing, so an item ordered on Monday may not actually arrive until Thursday or Friday, even with Amazon Prime, which touts its two day shipping.

"I have been very pleased with all my orders except for one, but Amazon took care of the problem quickly. I buy from them every chance I get. I find good prices and like their free shipping policy. I do believe the third party sellers have very high shipping rates and I try not to buy from them unless I have to. Amazon also ships pretty quickly "

"Just ordered my 47th book from Amazon. I've ordered well over 100 items from them, and once again, it went off without a hitch. If you plan on using, "Newegg," forget it.
"I read all the Glowing reports on Newegg.com, so I thought I’d give them a try.
I received my order, which was the wrong item. The kicker is, it came in an Amazon box, from an Amazon seller. What? I thought Newegg was supposed to be the end all, Amazon killer?
I called Neweggs, "Excellent customer service," and was told I had to call their third party seller, who made the mistake. There was nothing they could do. Really?
I don’t get that run around with Amazon, as they’re upfront about who to contact when you order. Additionally, I’ve been using Amazon for Years, and in all that time, I’ve contacted a seller probably 6-7 times, all with satisfactory results. I’ve experienced great Customer Service from Amazon.
So now, I’ve spent 3 days to get ahold of this 3rd party seller, from Newegg, who is really with Amazon.
Newegg is a waste of time. They are the middle man, to the middle man. What nonsense.
I’ll stick with the real deal, which is Amazon.
