"Christmas is ruined thanks to Amazon and their seller, Sonic Copters. Ordered a drone for $400, product arrived 10 days later, damaged. Called Amazon. Amazon instructed me to call seller. Called seller. Seller said they would refund me once they receive the item back. They said that would be in about 10 days. I said I needed the money much sooner that that so I could buy a replacement product. They said there was nothing they could do and suggested I take it up with Amazon. I called Amazon. I was so impressed with them as an ethical company when they told me to go ahead and overnight the product back to the seller, and call them to let them know the amount I paid for shipping and they would reimburse me. I went to FedEx and packaged the item up and got rang up by the clerk. She informed me that the total would be $206. I told her I'd better call Amazon before I pay $206 out of my own pocket. I called Amazon, and after 1 1/2 hour on the phone and three different representatives, I was told they were sorry that I was misinformed and there was no way they could pay that amount for shipping, nor was there any way they could issue me an advanced refund for the product. I would have to wait 48 hours (that would be until Christmas Eve) for a manager to call me to discuss a resolution. The end of the story is that there will be no resolution because I needed that money for Christmas and I had no chance getting it back by then because Amazon is not an ehhical enough company to stand by their word. I even have an email saying that I would be refunded for the shipping, but nobody there seemed to be concerned about that. Maybe they should have been..."
"I'm a long term Amazon Prime customer who typically buys well over $5000 a year. I am disgusted with Amazon's lack of accountability and intentional hiding of meaningful ways to provide feedback on Amazon's performance. I had a recent review denied because it was negative to Amazon who fulfilled the order but not the supplier. They are way to isolated from the consumers."
"I ordered a ceramic Christmas ornament and Amazon shipped it in a padded envelope. The ornament arrived in multiple pieces. While Amazon refunded my money, they were completely indifferent to the fact that absolutely no care or thought was given to how to package the ornament.
To them, the refund cost was an acceptable cost of doing sloppy business. They just no longer about their customers."
"i'm a amazon's customer for 9 year and they never let me down i've placed or pre-order an item they shipped immediately received in the mail within 1 week depend of shipping fee & delivery speed also they have free shipping only purchase $35 or more or be a "Prime" member 1 year for 2 day free shipping it may cost for a fee member sometime the price charge or on sale much cheaper than retail stores and you be saving a lot money in your pocket. "
"I have NEVER been so dissatisfied with a company. WORST Customer Service EVER!! Obvious errors on their end with my account and cancelled my shipments in the middle of my order without notification. And then said I cancelled it....no cares to try and rectify the situation either....AWFUL!!"
"I love Amazon.com. I have been ordering from them for years, and have had zero problems."
"I love amazon!! If you really search you can find anything you need!"
"All my experiences with Amazon have been great. With prime, I noticed a step up in customer service (e.g. sending a complete replacement of an item when only one minor part was missing from the original order, or refunding the amount of a gift set of three when only one part was missing from one out of the three items). Prices on certain items can be more than what you would pay at a local retail store. Returns are always a breeze."
"Never got my product. Very disappointed. I've ordered a lot of things from amazon. And of course around Christmas time they mess up shipping my package. Will never order from amazon again. "
"Amazon pretends to post user reviews, but, in fact, the reviews are carefully culled, no matter how negatively the user is mistreated by the merchant. If you see a merchant with a pure five star rating, most likely they are horrible and Amazon is cleaning up a shoddy merchant's reviews.
There is no reason to pay the premium Amazon charges, your odds of getting a satisfactory transaction are better just going to some random web site."
"what the hell, well not bad "
"I've bought a few things off of amazon so far and have had no problems. Easy to order, always received within 2 days with amazon prime, with the products as advertised. So far, so good! They even delivered a dishwasher all the way to my doorstep in a 2nd level apartment complex with no elevators! (In less then 2 days even!)"
"Easy to shop, a lot of reviews, good customer service."
"I ordered a projector for my son's birthday with a GUARANTEED 2nd day UPS air.. the day it was GUARANTEED to be here it was not.. I was lied to by amazon and UPS.. amazon has lost a family of amazon shoppers.. They ruined my son's birthday"
"After reading other reviews here, the consensuses is Amazon is no longer what it used to be. I now have to pay CA tax, yet shipping might as well come from China. I was informed if you opt for 'free shipping', you will be put on indefinite hold while they service paid shipping customers. They use the same shipper in either case, its the time it takes them to package that makes the difference. Its been nearly two weeks since I ordered and it has yet to leave their warehouse. Anyone wanting a Xmas present before the 25th, should look elsewhere unless they order before Thanksgiving. To get normal delivery service, Amazon customers are now forced to pay high shipping fees (which really means faster packaging). So the values of the past with Amazon, are no more. Look elsewhere for cheaper prices and better customer service."
