"I ordered an item that said it was in stock in the beginning of Dec. a week later it didn’t come. I contacted them to see if it was on its way they told me it would ship 1/18. I contacted them then, they told me 1/28. Then I contacted them 1/28, they told me they didn’t know when the item was coming. This was the worst online shopping experience of my life."
"The worst online instrument seller period. Returned Guitar on 1/17/18 and today 2/10/18 still no refund. I've talked to several people about instruments and no one that works for this company has a clue what they are talking about. I've talked to multiple people about my returned guitar, they keep promising my money but will not deliver."
"great company no problem UNTIL you return an item for example sent item back ! FED-X showed they received it on Jan 22nd it is now Feb 9th and still no return credit applied back to card . You may say isolated incident ? no this is the 2nd time in a row ! they are on point in every other area - so my experience is DON'T BUY ANYTHING UNLESS YOUR SURE YOUR KEEPING IT ! i will continue to use them , but i'm making DAM sure i'm keeping what i buy from them ."
"My experience with AMS has lasted over 4 years and several purchases. I cannot imagine people having a problem with their customer service. I have not needed them much, but when I have they have been so friendly and helpful. I love AMS and will continue to purchase my equipment from them. I tell all my friends to give them a look before buying elsewhere. Thanks AMS for being there when I needed you.

"Apparently customer service is not a priority at American Musical. After several phone calls begining December 15th- the 21st, regarding the error in my order, and advising everone I spoke to that this order was a Christmas gift, and being told that I would either recieve the replacements over night or before christmas, I've come to find out I wont recieve the replacements until the 27th or 28th of December. When I spoke to a supervisor I was basically called a liar. THIS WAS NOT MY FAULT! AMERICAN MUSICAL MESSED THIS UP AND WONT EVEN TRY TO MAKE IT RIGHT! and because of this now Christmas will be ruined for my daughter.Thanks! I will be sharing my experience with American Musical over various means of social media. You offer good deals but your customer service leaves much to be desired."
"Bought some really bad MEE M6 Pro in ear monitors that I would not think a music supply store would sell if they tried them. Asked to send them back but said would only take back if they were unopened. Well, hard to figure out they are junk without opening and trying them. They contacted me a few days after the purchase and offered to refund my money, which they did. I appreciate the fact that they made it right and plan to buy from them in the future. I would give them 5 stars but I feel a merchant should understand the quality of what they sell and the end result should have been offered during the first contact. These ear monitors were very low quality for the price point or are defective."
"Am surprised at the negative reviews, but my experience in Sept 2017 was awesome. Ordered 3 soft-side guitar cases from a promo email. Got a GREAT price on them, and didn't have to pay extra for FEDEX shipping. Was amazed, honestly, that they were here on the second day at 9:30 am about 36 hours after I had ordered them. They all arrived in great shape and they were actually far more impressive in hand than they looked/were described on the website. Will DEFINITELY use again."
"I have been searching for a base guitar and amp. I found what I was looking for at another online retailer. After talking with their customer service, I found out that they did not have it in stock. I chanced upon American Musical Supply. I called them up and found out about their company. They had exactly what I needed in stock and helped me through the purchasing process. On top of everything, they shipped a bass guitar, amp and stand to me in an incredibly fast time. I ordered it on a Friday, and it arrived the very next day, on a Saturday! I did not have to pay for shipping as that was included. WOW, I loved that. "
"Had my first encounter with American Musical Supply this week. I was looking for a case for my Fender dreadnought and saw what I wanted on their website. I placed my order immediately. After doing so I started reading all the comments about them on this page. Mostly negative comments...I admit I was worried that maybe I made a mistake and was tempted to try and cancel my order but I hung in there to see what would happen, and two days later (as promised) I received my guitar case. I'm very pleased with the case and the service from American Musical.. I fully intend to shop there again. "
