"We bought the Amerisleep 3. It was just right. I'm a back sleeper. My wife is a side sleeper. We both feel comfortable and adequately supported. My back pain from sleeping on our Simmons Beauty Rest Pillow-top has gone away. I especially like the texture of the sleeping surface on the mattress. We bought the mattress protector cover and the cover is excellent as well. It allows that very comfortable mattress surface to be felt through the cover while at the same time protecting the mattress. And there was no appreciable outgassing! We have bought 6 different mattresses for our household over the past 4 years and this mattress stood out for having virtually no outgassing. Others outgas for days, week or months! Interestingly, my wife and I find we dream far more on this mattress, an indicator of how restfully we sleep. The Amerisleep 3 is not a luxuriously soft mattress. At some luxury hotels, we get mattresses that are luxuriously soft, but we don't sleep well. You don't sink into the Amerisleep 3. It is supportive and it has a very comfortable feel.
