"UPDATE: Amsterdam replied with a typical excuse. Let's get one thing straight - EXPLAINING IT DOESN'T EXCUSE IT!!! Why didn't you address how the extra 13 pens wound up in my order. It was because you intentionally cracked open another batch so you could increase my order. And if it's an OPT OUT requirement, why the hell don't you make it an OPT IN. IF I WANTED 13 MORE PENS, I'VE HAD ORDERED 13 MORE PENS. You're ridiculous excuse doesn't cover up your despicable practice. "Industry practice" my _ss. Where is it written that you have to follow what the industry does? You're as full of SH-T as any company I've had the displeasure of being lied to by.
My "Thank you for your order!" price was $112.50, but I was invoiced $118.35. I sent an email asking for an explanation but got no reply. In looking at the ORDER summary ($112.50) vs. the INVOICE ($118.35), it turns out there's a note that reads "5% over/under run may be applied to select items". So here's what they did - To my very rounded number of 250 pens, they added 13 more, which is 5% of 250. That ABSOLUTELY had to be intentional. I would expect pre-imprinted pens to come in batches/packs of 10, 20, 25, 50, etc., which would make my 250 count easy to meet without breaking open another pack. Is 263 divisible by ANY number? In other words, they must have opened a batch of pens (10,20,25,50, etc. pack), and took out 13 pens to add to my order to increase the cost because of the note on the order summary. Despicable.
The amount of the deceit doesn't matter. And that's a shame. The pens are actually OK. I recently placed an order with another company, and was very happy with their customer service. The other company's amount quoted was amount charged."

"The lids don't fit well on the soup mugs. I expected to be able to sip the soup from the lids, but the tab is only to allow steam to escape. These are not at all what I expected.
I called about sending them back and I was told that I would have to pay return shipping.
