"What a joke. I want to know how much a refurb powerbook would be with shipping and tax. Can't find anything on their website, so I call 1-800-MY-APPLE. They proceed to tell me to just enter my credit card information, and the next screen would have the tax and shipping on it. Well, it did, and in doing so, I bought myself a powerbook while I was still looking. No problem, I called back to 1-800-MY-APPLE immediately, and asked to cancel my order. I get an email the next day saying they didn't cancel it and I can return the computer and apple care package. Customer Non service. What a joke. Well, I'll take the laptop, and see how it works, because I've paid for it.....

"Apple has excellent warranty and customer support. I had a Powerbook G4 12in 867 purchased last year. Sent it in for service because of the hinge being very tight because of warping. The problem appeared again and Apple decided to exchange my comptuer for a new one. I decided to upgrade with the credit (value of computer when I purchased it) to the Powerbook 15" 1.5ghz. I couldn't be happier.

I ordered a customized pink mini Ipod for my girlfriend. I ordered it over the phone and was told it would take about 4 weeks which was expected. I received the mini Ipod in 30 days so they were right on target. Works great!
The only problem I had was with the accessories and it actually turned out fine. I had ordered better headphones and they shipped me the wrong set. The ones I had wanted were the same price ($39) but came with a remote. Since I had placed the order over the phone, they said it was the rep's fault and shipped out the correct headphones and I got to keep the wrong ones they sent. Sweet! It took 1 week to get the accesories, 1 more week to get the right headphones, and 2 weeks of waiting until the ipod came. All in all- worth it."
"Please do not lie to your customers. Unfortunately, Apple Computer is way too large to handle their customer service. I do not enjoy being blatantly lied to regarding my order. Meanwhile, wasting 40 minutes of my time to be transferred around based on information that one sales rep lied to me about. After speaking to sales, then credit, then back to sales, I realized that the first sales rep blatantly lied to me. The second sales rep even confirmed it.

UPDATE: Received items. Both the G5 and the cinema display were damaged. Apples wanted to charge a restocking fee of 10% for return the cinema display. Because it was opened. It had a black scratch under the glass on the display. PLEASE, it came damaged. THEN, the g5 constantly freezes. On apple's own website/forum there are 900+ (some repeats) posts regarding the g5 freezing. When you call to report the problem, they insist on repairing it by replacing it piece by piece (according to some posters), taking up to 3 months to repair. When you call customer service they say the product has to be DOA before you can get a full refund. The only way to get DOA status is for a tech to declare it that. However, the tech rather attempt to fix the item over several months.
BACK AND FORTH BACK AND FORTH. it's ridiculous.
What happened to not "the customer is always right", but at least listen to the customer and stop with the "PROCEDURES"
I could go on and on about my 10+ phone calls and over 4+ hours collectively attempting to get a NON-FAULTY item."

I recently purchased a Dual 1.8ghz G5 setup from Apple. Even though I customized my system it shipped in only 2 days. The packing was immaculate and the computer itself was everything promised. Better UI than windows with a rock solid unix core. I couldn't be more satisfied."

"HORRIBLE! I decided to purchase an Ipod Mini for my girlfriend for her birthday gift and the estimated ship time was 3 weeks. I went through with it since they engrave it and I wanted to write something special on it (even though they charge about $30 more than other retailers). I called twice during this 3 week period to confirm that the ipod was indeed shipping out. Now they send me an email, one day before it was supposed to ship, and tell me they want until May to send it to me. That's over a month's wait.
