"Hi. I was replacing the water supply fitting on my Roper fridge model RS25AWXBL00 made in 1994 with a Whirlpool Factory certified 2196157 wp2196157 fitting. The process is a bit different from the video because of the vintage of the fridge. On my unit there is an aluminum tube that fits over the white plastic WP2196157 fitting and feeds into the trough of the ice maker. In addition, the internal diameter of the tubing didn't match the diameter of the included brass sleeve but I used the original. The tubing (and original brass sleeve) fit fine when installed. The white plastic fitting (after being cut to the same length of the original) when inserted from the back of the fridge then inside the freezer into the aluminum tube fit fine. I should mention that the original white fitting did not have a nylon nut (or threads) securing the water tube. Instead it just had the metal sleeve firmly, but not securely, in the white fitting. It had starting leaking out of that fitting because the tube had been squeezed for 26 years so I figured it was time to replace that fitting with a newer version in case it was a sign the fitting was degrading. Thank you for the video. Because of the video it was a smooth repair job."
