"Thursday night, I ordered a Samsung gas range, in part because the website indicated I'd get delivery in my zipcode by Wednesday (six days later) for this specific appliance.

Friday, I contacted Customer Service to confirm delivery, since I'd not seen anything in the order info or in my email re the actual delivery date. First customer service rep thought I was silly to think that appliances could be delivered so quickly and disavowed any responsibility for the website's promise, still visible (with the same Wed. commitment) when we spoke.

I escalated, and the supervisor at least understood that it made sense for me to take their website commitment seriously. He promised that the shipment would go out Monday and be delivered in 4-7 business days (so, by the next Friday at the soonest). Not great, but I could live with that.

Monday, I got (a) confirmation that the range had been shipped, and (b) an expected delivery time of the next day (Tues) late afternoon. And indeed the range was installed by Tuesday night (3 business days after the order, 1 business day after shipping).

If I'd never contacted Customer Service and just trusted the website, I'd have given AppliancesConnection five stars.
