Worst experience

"If you buy a mattress from this store, don't pay shipping and pick up your old mattress. We bought a mattress and paid $129 to take away the old mattress, and of course no one took the old mattress…. and the money was not returned. Worst experience ever. Very disappointed."

Absolutely horrible, Ashley cheated us!

"Aahley furniture, carle place have cheated us.We paid in full for sofa bed, 2 accent tables, 2 cushions, 2 chairs, delivery stated for 18th june. When the delivery came, only sofa bed & bed were delivered.the bed panel was broken & others bent.It took hours to contact the store manager who told us they were not in stock & the sales person Mike didnt work for the company anymore.We had a housewarming party with guests & were left stranded.It has been 24hrs, no refund or solution so far.We will take legal action. How can you charge for goods if you dont have them in stock.The invoice also clearly mentions a full refund if goods are not delivered on the date. They never informed us of incomplete delivery.The manager keeps calling to say he is trying but its clearly not working.We have no choice but to take legal action.We are cheated.The broken bed has to either be replaced or returned but Ashley are not answering. "

Phone Order

"This company is not reliable I tried to make a order online got approved instantly for credit card but when I tried putting the order was not going through so I called for help the person supposedly help me with my order and what she did was add to my bill almost 400.00 dollars and warranties that she didn’t even ask me if I wanted it I been trying to get in contact with them to fixed this or cancel my order and they don’t help me don’t waste your time ordering from this place."

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!

"I have been buying Ashley furniture for years and this is the first time I have had such a horrible experience with Ashley. I will not be buying any of their furniture again after this experience. I went to the Ashley furniture store in Draper. This was in Dec 2021. Found an accent cabinet that I loved, an ottoman and a small shelf. Most were on back order which was fine. I paid cash for my items and was told it could take 8 to 12 weeks for delivery. I was ok with having to wait for what I wanted (mainly the accent cabinet). I paid to have everything delivered and to have accent cabinet assembled. FINALLY on May 7, 2022, they were to deliver my furniture. I was beyond excited. Well, they come and the delivery guys say, the accent cabinet is not on the truck, due to it being damaged, but they will deliver another one the following Saturday. Fast forward to yesterday (Tues, May 10, 2022). I get a phone call from Ashley furniture in Draper saying that accent cabinet has been discontinued, but if I want, I can have the floor model. I said yes, because I have been waiting for almost 5 months and want it! The rep from Ashley says, “when can you come get it?” I say, what??? Wait! I paid to have it assembled AND DELIVERED! If I could have picked it up myself, I wouldn’t have paid to have it delivered! Person told me they don’t deliver floor items! I asked to speak with a manager. The manager, Barbara, was EXTREMELY rude and refused to have it delivered! Said they don’t deliver floor models. I tried to explain that I have no way to pick it up! That’s why I PAID to have it delivered. I asked for their corporate number. She gave me the store number. I Googled corporate number and called them. Explained the situation and they called Ashley in Draper. They told me that Barbara was not only rude to them but laughed at them and hung up on them! I am done with Ashley furniture! I am so disappointed! I am so upset! I hope they refund my money for delivery (I could have easily put the shelf and ottoman in my car…FOR FREE!!) and assembly for accent cabinet! I am also STUNNED that this Barbara, was ok with laughing and hanging up on THE CORPORATE COMPANY! SAYS A MOUTHFUL RIGHT THERE!! NEVER AGAIN!!"

Fiasco

"The Greenville, SC, Ashley delivered us a sectional that was the wrong color. We notified the salesperson who said he must have hit the wrong button. He said to contact customer service and they would take care of it. The person we talked to said it shouldn’t be a problem and that they would get back with us within 72 hours. After five days they got back with us and said our request had been denied because we had signed for it. We told him what the salesperson had told us about hitting the wrong button and that we even had taken a video of the correct color. It didn’t make any difference.

We called back to the store and the person we talked to said they could go above customer service and “make it right:”. We heard back from the store after two days via email and were told they were still working on it. We called back after two more days since we hadn’t heard anything from them and ended up back with customer service where, again, they denied our request for them to make it right. The representative said she would call the store manager to get with the salesperson. She was supposed to get back with us the next day. We did not hear back from her so the following day we called her again. She said the store manager was trying to get in touch with the salesperson but he was “being evasive”.

The day after that the store manager called and said that our request was denied because we had signed for the furniture and the salesperson said he thought that was the color we wanted.

So, the salesperson told us that he must have hit the wrong button, but he told the store manager that was the color we wanted. If the manager would have taken time to look at the rest of our order (kitchen and cocktail tables), he would have seen that its color didn’t match what we were sent and that the color of the one in the video did. Of course, he didn’t want to see the video. Our request was once again denied so we canceled the rest of the order.

During this whole fiasco, we were told at least three times that Ashley furniture was going to correct their mistake, only to be told by someone else there that our request had been denied. They just didn’t want to admit that their “evasive” salesperson had messed up. They have lost a customer for life.

Pitiful

"I purchased four bar stools nearly two months ago. The first ones that arrived were defective. Then weeks later they sent a "tech" who couldn't be bothered to do anything. Then sent replacements weeks later and twice more. Here we are months later, I still have defective stools, and tired of being stuck in this infinite loop with them, however, due to their no return/no refund policy I'm stuck! On top of this poor furniture, the customer service has been awful, with everyone just passing the buck and not offering to help, in addition to a supervisor who was the biggest, condescending ******* I've ever encountered. "

False Advertising on top of horrible customer service.

"I ordered a sofa in early February which was on back order. Was contacted in late March to pay for the couch since they were ready to ship it. Was charged for the couch but never contacted to set up delivery. I contacted them a week later and was told it would be here April 22nd. I was just contacted today, April 19th, to let me know it was still on back order and wouldn't be here until early May. This goes against the advertised, and which I was directly told, that I wouldn't be charged until it was available. For being lied to, and waiting months, they offered me 10% off my order. Absolute joke.

Scummy business practices. Happily cancelled my order and will go somewhere else. Joke of a business.

Worst delivery experience of my life

"I ordered free shipping, apparently their policy is to drop it off in front of the apartment building, not your apartment door, if it's free shipping. Never in my entire life for any type of shipping had I heard that they drop it off in front of an apartment building and not the apartment itself.
With a lot of insisting, they took it up, but then left it in the hallway.
This was a huge piece of furniture, that came in one piece, all assembled. This is a fire hazard in my hallway I cannot move, and have no idea what to do. How insensitive of a company or delivery men to do something like this, regardless of the service chosen. Their free service should come with a warning that it involves putting others in danger.

incompetent employees

"I purchased living room furniture on 2/27/22. I received the order on 3/8/22. I was not happy with the look of the furniture so I requested a return 3/11/22. The rep I spoke with said I would receive an email with the scheduled pick-up date. I never received the email so I contacted another rep 3/14/22 in customer service. That rep sent me to the routing, that person sent me to exaltation dept. and the rep there said that they created a case and said someone would contact me. Needless to say, no one contacted me. I contacted the escalations dept again was told by a the routing manager that he would ensure that the furniture would be picked up that day, IT WAS NEVER PICKED UP nor did I receive any communication. Yesterday I received a call from someone in the routing dept to confirm my pickup, when I said yes she ask to verify my address, I did and she said that was not the address nor was I the name on the order. UNREAL! She then said hold on while she finds out what is going on, then she hangs up on me. I called back AGAIN, I spoke to Limpford and he assured me he would take care of this, he asked me to confirm my address and you are not going to believe this but I swear to you he said for some reason they had the Ashley warehouse address as my address. I can't make this up. I was planning on calling early this morning but I finally received an email that my pickup was scheduled for today, I had to pay a house sitter to ensure someone was there when the furniture gets picked up because I work. Never showed up nor did I get a call or email, so at 4pm I called AGAIN and the first woman says it was never scheduled for today, I told her, "yes I have an email showing today's date". I asked for her manager and needless to say that went nowhere fast. This is the most incompantant company I have ever had to deal with!!! BEWARE!! "

Their website is a scam watch out!

"On February 4th I bought a bed on their website, they charged the bed more than twice on my card, I spoke with them on March 6th to cancel my order (they do not deliver yet) and ask for my money back. That told me that in 48 hours I will receive the cancellation email, it has been more than 48 hours and I still waiting for their email. Also, they charged my card more than twice. Beware of these "furniture website scammers" who will take your money, and you never received your order.

Buyer beware

"From the manager’s to the sales rep to customer service to the warehouse. They are rude liars. They take your money, give you a delivery date, and send you several confirmation emails. Knowing damn well that you won’t be getting no furniture. This is the second time I tried to buy some dining room chairs for them to push the delivery date back months. Worst retailer I’ve ever delt with. Almost had a fight with the sales rep. Customer service either hung up in me, put me on hold to never come back and the manager made excuses. They have systemic problem and the CEO cares to do nothing about it. "

Never Showed Up

"I scheduled a delivery of my daughter's bedroom furniture for a Sunday, 3-7pm, and Ashley delivery service never showed up. My daughter now has no furniture in her room & upon calling customer service, they stated that their next available time would not be until sometime that following Wednesday. Therefore, my daughter must spend 3 nights with no furniture in her room, which is unacceptable. I placed the order online & have never been able to track it, with the website saying "Delivery tracking is unavailable for your area." No one called to let me know that they were going to be late or be unable to deliver at all. Upon calling customer service, they revealed that no notes were left in the system either, which lets me know that they gave me a service window with no intentions of ever delivering my items. This is infuriating & egregious. So now, I am put in a position of having to take off of work for this service, of which I now have no faith in. If the furniture was in the area, I should have been given a next day delivery time, of which, I was not. I wish that I would have never ordered furniture from this company."

Take your money and run

"They lie to there customers, take your money and make you wait for the other half of your product. We received half of our bedroom set. The other half is 6 months away. They won’t take the other half back even though it’s never been used because it needs the railings for the set head set and foot drawer but told me our only options were to wait or pick different end tables, dresser and railings. So basically a mismatch 6k bedroom set. Sure. Will do"
