The car rental had insurance in the package and when we got to the Dollar Rental Car desk in Boston they said the basic insurance package was going to be 50/day for liability only. We were on a 2 week trip on the east coast and did not realize we would need to pay out on insurance because we thought it was included. Be more clear about which companies are going to provide insurance in the sticker price because we ended up paying three or four times more than we were charged by Atlaschoice. "

"Upon return of the vehicle I was greeted very unfriendly. I was accused of smoking in the vehicle and charged an absolutely ridiculous amount. My wife has just survived breast cancer and by no means did I smoke in the vehicle. My last cigarette was at the gas station a few blocks from the airport outside the vehicle. The woman did not take any explanation and proceeded to make the charge. I will never rent from your company again. "

" When we got to the airport we had not had any instruction on where to go. We followed the signs to the car pick up area. It was a really long walk it was very hot. When we got there we were told that we needed to go back inside and stop at their desk in the airport. This was the first anyone have mentioned it. We had hauled a ton of luggage down to the garage. So my husband ran back in to get whatever forms we needed. I nearly passed out standing in the garage because it was so hot and there is absolutely no air movement. I asked the people at the desk finally about it and expressed my irritation because no one in any of our emails prior to arrival had told us we needed to stop upstairs. And there was no signage that had said that either. They were very uncompassionate and did not try to really make me feel better. I asked them if they could call up to the desk and see how much longer my husband would be because I had stood there at minimum like 25 minutes and was really feeling terrible. I could not call him because there was no phone service in the garage. To which they responded I would be a really long wait and line up there. They finally pointed out a nearby air-conditioned waiting area that was about 50 feet behind me, but I had to pull three huge luggage bags into it by myself and carry three modest sized carry-ons. It would have been really nice if one of the two people would have offered to help me. By the time my husband got back, we had been passed by several other people and were left to choose from the few leftover cars. My husband did mention to the people upstairs that it was our anniversary, and they upgraded us for free to a midsize. Once we got the papers, it was very handy to pick out a car, just a really long walk outside from the exit of the airport. We were pleased with the car. When we brought the car back the signage was very clear so we knew where to go. It was odd that they required us to get gas within 10 miles of the airport. I guess I understand the rationale. We had a GPS malfunction so we actually got gas about 15 miles away, but I was very glad that it was not a big issue or I would have been very upset. The drop off process was very quick."
"I supposedly paid a "full price" ($US113) and I don't have to pay anything else, but when I got to the counter to retrive the car I was surprised to find out a $US180!! insurance charge from nowhere and the comment of the attendant girl.. "i'm sorry sir... attlaschoise is unkown for us, what you agreeded with them it's practically irrelevant for us, you can pay or leave". What a pleassent surprise.. My entire rent cost me $US292 instead of the agreeded $US113. "

When we got to Treviso airport all desks of all car renters were open at 9 except goldcar who was late.
We were given a new and very nice and clean car, this was a blast!
The return process was easy at Bologna.
Our biggest problem is: we were specifiically told both at pick up as well at drop off that we have purchased the full tank option and that if we return with anything in the tank we will be reimbursed. However yesterday we had a charge on our credit card for 60 euro for fuel instead of a credit for 1/4 of the tank!!!!"
"Although I have been to SAO MIGUEL before, I had previously relied on the services of taxis. Feeling like I wanted to be more independent i decided to use the services of Atlaschoice. Normally i don't write reviews of this nature, but I was so impressed by their attention to detail, their patience and kindness even when we were delayed and missed our pick up time. They made us feel that they were not going to let us down, that no matter what it took, we would have our car with zero stress! Wow! What a cute little car I got! The most gorgeous little Smart Car with gleaming mags... i felt so confident and taken care of! I shall be returning to the island soon and Atlaschoice will be my first choice. "Great experience with Atlaschoice. This is the second time we've used them for our rental car, and both times were good experiences. One of the best rental rates I found, and I did a lot of research before deciding to go with them.
On the other hand, Dollar Rental will not receive such a good review and I will address that with them.

"The rental company was Goldcar,I had to wait 70 minutes in the queue ,then the male employee was very rude,he took my details then asked me to sign the documents electronically .I queried what the £212.12 amount was for,he said abruptly it was for a full tank of fuel,I kept querying the amount but he kept saying fuel,and then started to speak to the next customer .
I could not see any document as he kept telling me to sign on electronic equipment
I found out later that it was for removing the excess but still not sure Goldcar did not want to discuss,on the agreement it stated "costs operac" 19-01 € ,"Cobertura Super" 119-26€ ,"Flanja Tarjeta" 60-33€ after adding 41-70€ IVA the bill came to 240-30€ ( £211-12)
They did not give me the option on paying for the excess waiver or ,paying in pounds
I hire at least cars on at least 6 occasions each year and consider myself as being experienced but these people are out to fleece you as much as they can
