"I ordered a fuel tank online. I t got to me in time, but it was packing in a box it did not fit into, and they used foam peanuts for packing. You guessed it, the tank was filled with foam peanuts. Took a really long time to get them all out before installing the tank. Someone at the warehouse needs to get a kick in the butt."
"Will revise and upgrade my earlier rating / review -- got an extremely belated response from AutoZone saying my order has shipped. AutoZone had advised me that they would send an email notification when the order shipped -- I never got one -- and haven't as yet received the order -- but when I do -- will consider the matter satisfactory resolved. "
"Never again. One try has soured me. Ordered seat covers on March 15, received letter on 26th with the usual excuse "we were having site issues . . . the merchandise that you purchased is no long available." Yeah, right. All BS as far as I'm concerned."
" I ordered a mirror, clicked the option for express delivery. Not only was my choice of delivery not entered but the order apparently lays around for 3 days before even leaving the warehouse. No express for this kind of poky service in 2008. "
"I used their order online pickup in store. I called ahead to make sure that my items were ready. They first told me they did not have this service. Then when I showed up they told me that they may not have the parts as they do not check to see if the parts are indeed available. Then they charged me for 3 items instead of the two that I actually walked out of the store with. I am not sure I will be returning to their store anymore, or at least this one."
"In May of this year I purchased an engine and various related parts from the Westland, MI AutoZone. Due to past experiences with Autozone I was reluctant to purchase anything from them, but I was in a situation where I nededed an engine immediately. Approximately a week after installing the engine and a water pump also purchased at the store, the shaft on the water pump broke slinging the fan into the radiator and causing damage to all 3 parts. As a result the engine overheated and blew a head gasket. After a long argument with the manager I was told that they would replace the pump and radiator, but they would not do anything with the engine. Today, after over 5 months of dealing with district and regional managers I am told by them that had the store entered a claim with the pump manufacturer my engine would have been repaired. This is the second time I have been refused a warranty claim on an Autozone engine, and various times I have had problems with customer service issues including (illegal) failure to sell a product at the advertised price and several times that their techs had told me that bench tested products were defective when they were'nt and vice-versa. I am a contractor and have no use of my work vehicle as a result. I will persue any legal means available and STRONGLY advise consumers not to do business with these people."
"Really needed 1 part and they did not have it locally at the store so I deciced to order on line also saving me a trip. I found they offered free shipping with $50 purchase... I figure, who doesn't need some auto part in the near future. So to get the free shipping I added a few miscellaneous items I will be needing and for only a little more than the shipping would have cost got the additional items. I like this store and recieved my items fine by mail however it did take a little longer than I expected. The part do not come from your local store. The delivery time is within the stated time but I ordered from another e-vendor same day and received 4 days earlier no express shipping. All parts were corect and nothing missing, overall a good experience. "
"I ordered online a pair of rebuilt front calipers and a pair of front grease seals on 11/19/04.
After waiting about 3 weeks or so for the parts to arrive, I went ahead and bought the same parts locally from another source and installed them.
I then asked for a refund.
It has now been around 52 days since the order was initiated...still no parts...no refund.
The order was supposed to arrive in 6 to 10 days.
And now no response to my emails to "customer service".
After calling Autozone...I finally got a refund after 2 months."
