"The merchandise I ordered from Beyond Stores was perfect. The issue I have is with their delivery postings. The schedule listed online for my order nowhere near reflected the actual delivery of the item. I called the phone number listed for Beyond and upon numerous tries the number would not go through. Finally when I did reach an actual person the dates he quoted to me for delivery were totally not what what occurred.p nor were they the same as the dates stated online. He was accurate in what he said would be the delivery process but not the dates. The good news was, the delivery was sooner than expected ! "I was searching for an ethanol fireplace and fuel on amazon.ca and learnt about Beyond Stores. Ratings were pretty good and so I thought I go directly to their website and see if I can save some more.
I saw on Beyond stores' website that they shipped to Canada and was thrilled because my cart was cheaper than it was on Amazon.ca; I also assumed they had a dynamic website that will give you the bill in Canadian Dollars if you selected Canada as your ship to location. A few days after my purchase, the lack of clarity of the currency clarificatioin I purchased with on their website was bothering me and I eventually called their customer support and learnt that I had in fact purchased in USD for the fireplace and fuel. I tried to cancel the order right away, but unfortunately the fireplace had shipped same day.
Chuck was the main guy I had the pleasure of dealing with from Beyond Stores support, but the best thing I learnt is that they duplicated Chuck many times over as there was a great team overall who I spoke with through out my ordeal as I tried to cancel and purchase and buy from amazon.ca (also sold by Beyond store) instead in other to save on our terrible 2015 CDN exchange rate.
This was my first time dealing with Beyond Stores and I was rightfully worried that I was about to get screwed over. But boy was I pleasantly surprised, they tried to call the factory to cancel the order, it was already on the truck heading out of UPS distribution, all the while I was getting constant emails and in some cases telephone calls from them to keep me posted.
Unfortunately it was too late to cancel the order, they explained all my options to return. The beautiful fireplace arrived, I realized the fuel didn't ship yet because I bid $0 (not entirely familiar with their bidding process then). I explained my situation about buying it from them cheaper from Amazon.ca and how it cost me way more buying from their website because of the exchange rate. The $0 bid on the fuel would actually coincidentally even out the playing field from cost perspective.
Chuck took it away and talked to the powers that be and again, kept me in the loop and within a few hours let me know they will do right by me by sending me the fuel. I just received it now and it was only right that I let everyone know the character of Beyond Stores. I'm grateful for making my problems go away and for the pleasant experience.

How Many times I have to call the XPO guys ??? How many times they will change the estimated delivery time ..? This is the worst delivery system I have ever seen, I am really concerned about the item condition and the quality ...

You can return as long as "it's new in the original box with the original packing" which means if you set it up and it is no longer considered new!! We kept original packing and boxes BUT because we set it up we could not return it. WHAT A RIP OFF!!! Will not use this Company again...read the fine print and be certain of your purchase. "
