"If you order items that are expensive be prepared to call and conferm your order. This reseller is extreemly slow at actually shipping out items as well. My advice is that once you purchase a product from them to emediatly call and check the status of the order don't rely on the online status since it seems to be flawed. Another problem is that they don't actually send you out a confirmation when you purchase something like their site says. "
"I shopped around for a Nikon Coolpix 5700 w/accessories and found Big on Digital to have some of the best prices as well as being recomended by Yahoo shopping. However, when I discovered that the camera would not meet my needs for action shots and requested to return the camera, I was met with a barrage of delays by the customer service representatives. I was put on hold a half an hour at a time listening to a never ending Jerry Seinfeld standup act and many unreturned phone calls.
Later, Big on Digital offered to take the camera back if I payed 25% of the original cost or accepted an exchange. Not wanting to accept the 25% fees, I agreed to go with another camera and accessories for which I waited 3 weeks to get a response on this negotiation.
Finally, Big on Digital offered the negotiated camera and accessories for a price $800 more than a reputable company on the West coast had advertised in their catalog! What a ripoff!!
In addition, this company seems to go by several names, WholesaleDigital, AllDayDigital, BigonDigi, Get Digital, and who knows what else. The Customer Service Departmant at Big On Digital say they are located in Brooklyn, New York, however, the New York Chamber of Commerce does not list them nor does the Yellow Pages.
Where are you and who are you, Big On Digital?
Buyer Beware!"
"This group goes under several names when you do a web search for a digital camera. I got caught in the website: http://www.wholesaledigi.com/ (Wholesale Digi). They are an internet rip-off and scam artist. I bought an Olympus D550 camera from them. They told me it was a new camera. When you try to reach them you get this message:
Dear Valued Customers,
We are currently experiencing technical difficulties with our phone and internet service. This has resulted in many calls being cut off. We would like you to know that your calls are very important to us, and will be answered. Verizon, our carrier, is in the process of assessing and fixing the problem, and we should be back to normal within 24-72 hours. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you, and thank you for your patience.
When you try to call them you get a Jerry Sinefeld recorded monologue.
They talked me into buying an extended manufacturers warranty and an ultra fast smart media card. When the camera arrived it was a refurbished camera with a warranty from Mack Camera in New Jersey who won't answer their telephone. The smart media card they shipped with the camera which they charged me $75 for was a regular 64 mg card you can buy anywhere for about $20. Of course shipping was inflated. When I tried to return the camera they refused to issue a refund number. I am out $370 for a used camera that I can buy new elsewhere for about $250.

"I ordered a camera online. Received message that I had to call to confirm order. They never answer phone. Frustrating!! I do not recommend."
"Tried to buy Sony dpp-sv77 today on their website for advertised 299.95 price. Check out screen says call to confirm. When you call they raise price to $359 even though the checkout page shows 299.95 They raise shiping cost from 31.95 to to 39.95 with some lame excuse about insurance which is not posed on website."
"Another scam artist. I was looking for a new camera. They did tell me the C-4000 I wanted was Class A refurbished. Very pushy about the insurance. I decided afterwards that I did not want a refurbished camera. I am still trying to get the order cancelled. They would not accept an email or faxed cancellation. I called and have to wait till they fax a form and then call again for the cancellation number. They don't always answer their phone. They are charging me 5% to cancel the purchase. These people were highly rated by Yahoo. My advice - stick to a reputable ebay seller."
