"I ordered the Pioneer DVR-310 on March 04, 2004 via the internet, order # BD-56666. On March 08 I checked the website to obtain the tracking number and checked when I would receive the Pioneer DVR-310 only to find that the order was on "hold". I then called the "customer support line", placed on hold for 10-15 minutes and was then told you needed to confirm my American Express credit card number. This turned out to be merely a ploy to try and sell their over-priced warranty (which was more than 50% of the cost of the Pioneer DVR-310). I declined their "offer" and requested that the Pioneer DVR-310 be shipped. Their customer support person, Rob Love, advised it would be shipped that day, March 08, 2004.
On March 11, I then telephoned their "customer support line" again to discover if the Pioneer DVR-310 had been shipped and, if so, what was the UPS tracking number. Once again I was placed on "hold" for another 15-20 minutes (listening to the same Seinfeld comedy routine) and finally spoke to Tiffany at ext. 120. She could not obtain the tracking number either and promised she would call or e-mail me later that same day with the tracking number. She never called or sent an e-mail.
On March 12, I called the "customer support line" again and placed on "hold" for another 15-20 minutes (once again listening to the same Seinfeld comedy routine), and spoke to Tiffany at ext. 120. Tiffany placed me on "hold" again for another 10 minutes while trying to reach their warehouse in Florida (as per her representation) to obtain the tracking number. She finally advised that the warehouse was not "picking up the line", but assured me that the Pioneer DVR-310 unit would arrive by Thursday, March 18, 2004.
I sent 2 follow up e-mails on March 15, and March 16, to obtain the UPS tracking number and so far there was no response. However, I did advise them in the last e-mail, that I contacted my credit card company, who advised that if the Pioneer DVR 310 was not delivered by March 18, they would declare a dispute, investigate, and probably charge back the purchas to Big On Digital with a service fee.
This apparently got their attention and they finally sent the Pioneer unit to UPS for shipping on March 17.
Beware of Big On Digital!! These guys are skating a thin line of legality. I complained to the Better Business Bureau and checked their website to prior complaints. Big On Digital has only been in business for 1 year and they have 16 complaints (not counting mine) already.

"Order an FUJI FinePix S7000. Got call from them three days later to verify credit card info. They also introduced me the filters kit for the camera, which is not what I ordered and I did not want, so I refuse the accesories. The order went through, and camera arrived three days later.
I think they did somewhat decent internet business."
"I was very satisfied with my transaction. I purchased a Canon Powershot S50 digital camera for my daughter's birthday. My sales rep was Stan Anderson @ext:112. He gave me the price and the shipping charge that was then shown on the website - $350 for a brand new USA warranty product, including the shipping ($335 + $14.95). Price went up right after that. There was the obligatory medium sell on extras, but I'm glad this happened. I ended up purchasing two extras I was planning on getting anyway. After I provided them with information on what I was going to pay for them locally, Stan gave me the same price to buy from them. $50 for a 256 mb flash card, and $10 for a case. And to top it off, they didn't gouge me by escalating the shipping. In fact, they sent it all and left the shipping at $14.95!
One minor complaint is that they were a little slow on the shipping. I ordered on a Sunday and the package arrived 11 days later. However, I shopped early enough that it still arrived two weeks before the birthday.
I was a little leery because BOD doesn't have a lot of feedback yet, but I definitely gave them a very satisfied.
p.s. One of the comments said they thought the reviewers sounded like shills for the company. I am a real customer, and never had heard of BOD before I placed my order."

"Very Disappointed! I ordered a Sony DCS-T1 digital camera online. After an internet order confirmation, I received a phone call trying to hard sell more staff. Had them cancel my order, do not know what is going to happen.
Worst experience I have ever had on online shopping, had same horrible experiences on "digital superpix", "unclewades" and "A&M photo world"."

"I called big on digital because I wanted to inquire about a product and I also wanted to explain the salesman what I was using the product for to see what accessories I would need with it after explaining the salesman what purpose I would be using the product for he informed me that I would not need to buy any accessories on the product and after doing further research I learned that he was in fact correct I then called another company who had a cheaper price on the product and I tried to order it but the salesman was trying to sell me all these accessories and after I told him that I don’t need any accessories he then informed me the product was not in stock. I called back big on digital and I bought it there. They were so nice to me they did not try to sell me hundreds of dollars of stuff that I don’t need I received my order on time and I will only buy from them when I’m buying electronics on the net because I rather pay a couple of dollars more and deal with a honest ethical company then companies that lie to me so in closing I’ am happy I got what I wanted saved money and they were very nice to me."
"VERY DISAPPOINTED!! I ordered a digital camera online only to receive an email 3 days later informing me I needed to call to verify the order. Of course the salesman, Stan, tried to sell me more merchandise which I declined. I was told that the item was in stock and that it would ship the next day and that my credit card would not be charged until the item shipped.
My credit card was charged the following day. 7 days later (10 after the original order placed) the web site gives no indication that the camera has been shipeed. Tried multiple times to get hold of Customer Service. Twice I was placed on hold where I languished until finally a recording came on and told me that there was no room to leave a voicemail in the mailbox!! Several times Customer Service never answered at all. At least three times a Customer Service rep answered and put me on hold and never returned. When I did get a Customer Service rep finally twice I was told that the system was down and that a tracking number could not be retrieved. When I asked if the item had been shipped they replied, "It should be shipped within the next couple of days." They simply refused to be more specific.
Early positive reviews are highly suspicious. Probably from employees. Still waiting for a tracking number or confirmation that the item has even shipped. I emailed company to cancel and got no response. I left a message on the salesman's voicemail attempting to cancel and got no response.
I have no idea if or when my camera will be shipped. I have no idea if my attempts to cancel the order were successful. All I know is that I have a charge on my credit card and no camera to show for it.

My wife fielded another call from sales ("sounded like a real stoner" according to my wife) on Wednesday saying they had "hit a snag" with the order, but failed to elaborate. Offered to upgrade shipping to next day for $15. We declined.
Packaged arrived on Friday to our surprise, but had been sent FedEx Ground. We were not given a refund for the difference in shipping (3-day - ground).
Some of the reviews here sound like they're from employees of the company. I'm a little surprised by their high rating.

"After dealing with numerous mail order companies, it was a real pleasure to deal with Big On Digital. I went on their website in search of a digital camera and a digital camcorder. Within about ten minutes or so I found exactly what I wanted. The price was right so I put in the order and crossed my fingers, hoping that I wont get "that call" to make me buy more accesories or that the item is not in stock, or the price changed. I've heard them all! But shockingly all I got was an email the next day with my ups tracking number. Sure enough my cameras arrived only 2 days later!
