"I ordered a camcorder as a Christmas present. I ordered with rush shipping to make sure it arrived on time. THREE DAYS LATER, I received an e-mail from their sales department, asking me to call them regarding my order. There was no explanation of what the problem was, or why they had waited so long to tell me there was a problem. I wrote back to say I'd prefer everything in writing. No reply. I wrote again the next day, telling htem to cancel my order, since there was no way it would arrive on time. No reply.
Finally, I cc-ed my request to everyone I could find at the company. I finally got a brief form letter e-mail saying my order was canceled. By that time, it was three business days until Christmas, and it was impossible to get the camcorder on time from ANYONE on line.
Aggravating the situation are Big on Digital's horrible customer service hours: they close at 3PM on Fridays and are closed on weekends.
Even though I planned ahead with plenty of lead time, Big on Digital screwed up a key Christmas buy, one that would have provided my relative with great digital video of her kids. She'll have to wait now.
No low price is worth this total lack of customer service. Buy from New Egg instead. This company rates a big, fat zero."

"I purchased a Nikon Coolpix 3100 digital camera from Big On Digital. I placed the order over the phone. The sales person was curtious and new almost all the features and accessories for this model. There was no pressure to "upgrade" or purchase the available accessories.
I received the camera on 12/04/03 which was a surprise as I was told it may be 7 days for shipping.
Overall my experience with this merchant was easy and without pressure topurchase. I will consider future purchases from them.

This is a classical fraudulent scam practiced by most of sthe store in New YOrk area that advertise prices close to 50% below the current market. I cancelled the order."
"I ordered a Sony DSP-P92Cyber Shot digital camera on November 4, 2003. I never got the camera because this company put me through 10 days of living hell! They wouldn't send me email confirmations, and when I called the company on the phone the just kept making lame excuses as to why I hadn't recieved the camera in the 5 to 7 days (ground transportation shipped) when I'm only 1 state away. When I got to the bottom of it, they never processed my order. I immediately cancelled my order and had them credit my Visa Card. I then contacted the BBB to find out they have had 4 complaints against them since they opened business in January! I also learned this company operates under the name Wholesale Digital as well. Please, be careful dealing with this company!"
