"The miscommunication between Bison Office and Houzz is beyond mind blowing. One hand doesn't know what the other is doing. I TRIED to get a couch delivered that was ordered through Houzz and the seller was Bison. THese two indian companies either can't understand English or are truly ignorant. Emails are answered to their customer service a week later. They lie about delivery company not able to deliver the merchandise. Bison uses Metro to drop ship the furniture. Metro called me and made an appointment for delivery on March 25. On March 22, Metro calls and says sorry, we are going to have to deliver the following week on the 29th. I said that isn't possible because we are MOVING and won't be there. I asked them to hold the order and could they re-deliver to another address. They CANCEL my order. Order goes back to seller, Bison. Bison wants to charge me for shipping of the couch back. This is a scam company. Having to go to Dept of Consumer Affairs to file a complaint. Unbelievable incompetency. "
"Ordered a dining room table. Courier lost it and they refuse to send out another one. They tell me to contact there courier and when I do they give me the runaround. Company is sh*t with terrible customer service."
"Our bookshelves arrived damaged in ripped boxes. The interior packing material was likewise ripped open. It took a week for them to respond to our report of the problem and now they won't pay to return the items. This isn't a case of not liking the quality (which was poor, by the way), it's a case of receiving damaged items and a company not taking responsibility for that. We also have to lug the boxes back to Fedex ourselves rather than Bison arranging for a pickup. Do not purchase anything from this company unless you see it in person first or be prepared for a length return process where you will end up with a hefty bill for nothing."
"Zero customer service, damaged item, waste of money …
I paid 1200 and they send me the defective item and now they want to give me just $200 store credit but not refund ! Dont buy anything infrom here "
"I purchase a dining table set and received the wrong color. And Bisonoffice want me to pay for the shipping, plus a 15% restocking fee. Bisonoffice is a scammers / crooks."
"One delay after another and I still have not received the merchandise "
"*** Buyers Beware ***
I ordered a glass display case and never received it. FedEx delivered to package to the wrong apartment on Tuesday 9/5 and when I came home, it was nowhere to be found. I searched the entire apartment complex. I posted on my resident portal about the package including all the details and I've notified my leasing office about issue. The leasing agent and myself have not received any response from anybody.
I then opened a case with FedEx and BisonOffice. BisonOffice claimed it would be resolved by Thurday afternoon, and it was not.
I visited the FedEx Ground building and spoke with a rep Thurday 9/7, and she said she was going to look into it. When I called on Thurday Daria said she is waiting on a response from FedEx before they move foward with the case.
I've called FedEx multiple times. I've called/emailed BisonOffice multiple times and all I get is that the case is still being worked.
As of 9/10 FedEx has closed the case associated with the tracking number.
I opened a case with my bank and Laura from BisonOffice said the case is going to be handled directly by them from here on out.
Laura also says "This isn`t the first time we are receiving complaints for the lack of FedEx carriers competence, so I really hope our management will take this to consideration of switching the shipping partner in the near future".
DO NOT BUY FROM THEM"
"We ordered a desk and we received it with a cracked panel. The company refused to take it back or give a refund since it was outside of their 7 day window. We provided proof that I had brain surgery so Chris' priority was to take care of me and not build a desk and they didn't care. Terrible company. "
"I ordered a swing loveseat online in Antique Pecan described as 53" long. Received completely different color, literally says DARK BROWN and 47" long. The company tries to scam me for return shipping cost and another 15% restocking fee for THEIR mistakes. My personal suggestion - STAY AWAY AS MUCH AS YOU CAN
"
"this was the best online experience ever very good company "
"We ordered a side table from this company. They have competitive prices which will get you in but their return policy is so horrendous that it far outweighs any competitive pricing. Also, the delivery guys will drop off boxes in front of the house, which are usually heavy, and leave….yet this company expects you to check everything for possible damages before you accept delivery which is literally impossible if you are a single person. If you find something damaged later, you are tough our of luck. We realized before the product even arrived that one of the tables wouldnt work for us. Didn’t even open the box. We contacted them to start the return process, they told us not only would we have to pay for shipping, but WE have to find a Freight Company on our own!! And pay a 15% restocking fee for an unopened item. Adding all that together is basically the cost of the table. We’ve bought a lot of furniture in the last several months from various sellers and have never had to deal with such a horrific return policy. Buyer beware! "
"They said it was cancelled because I didn't have the funds to process the order. But they also told me any money that came out of my account would be refunded in 7 to 10 business days. So I asked the person on the phone why "if" I don't have the funds would there need to be a refund?
And when I went onto my bank account, I could see the where they took the money out and then refunded it.
I've never ordered before from this company, but I won't order again. Something sounds off to me. "
"Don’t buy from them. I purchased two end tables that were silver and mirrored. I got them they looked nothing like the product being advertised on Amazon! It looked like the silver parts had been spray painted over with spray paint from Home Depot. Like the diy projects you see on YouTube. It was scratched you can see the brown wood under And not a smooth finish. The drawers were hard to open. One of the worst experiences. I would never buy furniture from them or anyone else off Amazon without reading the return details on full. Then they initially wanted me to pay for the return of these items thay was defective and trash ! "
"Absolutely horrible experience with these guys.
Vidas and his crew are apparently running a drop shipping business, which is fine, but it's not clearly stated anywhere on their listings at Amazon.
I purchased a couch from them off of Amazon and they only had one shipping option. A couple of days before the couch was scheduled to be delivered, I got a text from the last mile driver who was setting an appointment to deliver. Because they had mentioned "dropping" the couch, I asked them to confirm that they would be "dropping" it inside my house. They said no, and that they only would drop my couch curbside. A 238 pound couch being delivered to a 50 year old man with physical conditions preventing the lifting of more than about 50 pounds who lives alone and works from home would not be able to bring in such a thing by himself. And to deliver a piece of furniture like this to a residence makes no sense to drop it at curbside.
I asked them to return the item to their local warehouse, hold it, and await further instructions.
I then contacted BisonOffice about the odd choice of delivery. They gave me multiple canned responses about how they do not deliver inside people's homes due to COVID, even though I'd had multiple maintenance people inside my home, and at least a couple of furniture deliveries to the inside of my home since COVID started. This was the FIRST time anyone has ever said to me that they could not deliver inside my home because of the pandemic.
I asked BisonOffice to set up a 3rd party carrier to deliver inside and they told me that they could not do that. Ridiculous.
So, now, as a purchaser of a $1300 couch, I was to play the part of a logistics director instead of consumer to fix the failed delivery of my couch.
After it was confirmed that they returned my couch to the local warehouse, and the address to where it was dropped, I set up a carrier for $160 to pick up the couch and deliver it to me. When they arrived to pick up, they were told that it hadn't been removed from the trailer yet and that it would take at least a couple of days before they could even locate the couch.
So, ding, I lost $160. But, arguably, it was partially my fault because I wasn't aware of their procedures. The couch needed to be located and placed into will call.
So, I waited for them to contact me to let me know it was in will call.
On a Monday, they called me letting me know it was in will call and ready for pickup. I called a courier to set another pickup that Wednesday - this time, it was $200. On Tuesday, I called to reconfirm the couch was in will call and was told it was there. On Wednesday, my courier arrived to pick up the couch and, guess what? It was still on a trailer somewhere. No one knew where it was.
I contacted BisonOffice again. By this point, the time from when i was first contacted about curbside delivery to that Wednesday of a missing couch was about 2 1/2 weeks because everyone was moving sooooo slow. I told BisonOffice that all of this was caused because they could not properly deliver a couch to a residential address and that if my couch was not located by the end of the week, I wanted a full refund plus reimbursement for the failed pickups.
This is also when I did research on BisonOffice and found out that their address was actually a UPS Store box and NOT an actual suite. Had I done the research beforehand, I probably would not have even ordered from them.
But, regardless of that, BisonOffice did provide a full refund for the horrible experience, but said that it was not part of their policy to reimburse for outside expenses, even though they were DIRECTLY responsible for them.
I would highly recommend not giving these guys an opportunity to serve you. No matter what the issue I had with them throughout this horrible experience, they would always say that it's "not in their policy" to do such things as keep their customers happy, provide a better delivery experience, or just run a business the RIGHT way. These guys obviously do not care about their customers at all. They say words indicating differently, but their actions show that they clearly are more about themselves than the industry they pretend to be a part of.
Stay away at all costs. Look them up in the Illinois SOS website and then go down the rabbit hole to see just how illegitimate they are.
Garbage. Trash."
