"First off, I would highly recommend using Boats.net. That said, it's important to advocate for yourself in anything you do to get the most desirable outcome. Here's my story.....Damaged a prop over the weekend and long story short, it couldn't be repaired so I was on the hunt for a very specific (and expensive) prop that I couldn't find locally. It was a Wednesday and I wanted the prop by Friday. I saw Boats.net had it in stock online so I called to verify and to check to see if they could get it to me by Friday. Talked to a great guy named Felix who sat on the phone with me as I placed the order on the website so he could expedite the order and get 2 day UPS Air shipping on it. Boom...mission accomplished.....so I thought! He mentioned I would get a shipping confirmation, but it never came on Wednesday. Sensing a problem, I called back on Thursday morning and talked to a guy named Jason. Jason wasn't rude, but he wasn't very helpful about the situation that was unfolding. He casually mentioned to me that since it was a new customer order over $1,000 my order was funneled to an "extra verification" step and has not been released. After asking several times if there was anything he could do, he basically said it should release soon and get shipped out. My fishing tournament was Sunday, so my drop dead date for the prop was Saturday and I would miss out on the pre-fish day. Thinking it would ship out on Thursday, I would get the prop on Saturday and all wouldn't be lost. Then.....on Thursday evening, I finally got the UPS tracking email and said my package will arrive on Tuesday (Monday was Memorial Day)!!!! Since Boats.net was closed, I called UPS to see if there was anything they could do to get the package to me by Saturday....nope....said I had to call the shipper. So on Friday morning, I called Boats.net back and got Angie on the phone. Explained the whole situation and Angie dug in and went to work with her supervisor (didn't get her/his name) on trying to get me back on the water in time. Spent 45 minutes on the phone going through shipping scenarios to no avail. As my hope was being flushed down the toilet, her supervisor came up with the idea to order another prop and have it shipped Next Day Air - Saturday delivery. After the fact, this seemed so obvious, but in the moment, it was simply brilliant! So that's what we did...placed another order and they were so kind as to put a "return to sender" on the other prop in transit so I wouldn't have to pay the return shipping back.
So I'd like to thank the team at Boats.net on getting me what I needed when I needed it. Sure, I missed my target of getting the prop on Friday and their internal processed somewhat caused that, but in the end, I judge a company by how they react to bad situations. Things happen, but the reaction is what matters to build loyal customers.

"Boats.net has charged me $8.95 shipping fee for a miniature ruber gasket about 3/8" that weight 1 gram and I have never received the order. This gasket could be sent by a regular letter envelope with a 40c stamp and would received it in 2 business days. I waited 2 weeks and I called. The clerk offered me to place the order again. I just canceled it."
