"I have used bookit.com before and loved it. However this time was a pain, the prices kept changing during checkout and I'd get flipped back to the search page where I would have to find my flights, upgrade my room and add shuttle service over and over again (4 times).
If this hadn't been a large family trip I wouldn't have kept trying.
Prices should be locked for 3 minutes while I enter my personal info at check out, if that's not possible just update the price and notify me it changed. Not pleased, total nightmare checking out. "

No matter how many times they have seen me called they still assisted me as if it was my first call! "The prices literally changed minute by minute and we weren’t expecting that. Also, it said that we could book for $99 all through the booking up until the end. Then the travel agent said that since we are booking two rooms then the $99 doesn’t apply. That wasn’t advertised at all."

"I use to use this company often but the company has gone downhill. On the PayDelay option they changed their terms from 6 payments to 9 payments, but here’s the catch they charge $6 on each payment and now they won’t let you change the dates at all. So they can charge you $34 if those preset dates decline. They use to let you change the dates up to a month before your trip.
I booked a 4 night trip to Jamaica for April. 1st the price says $2349.15 then after I put all my information in and click confirm, it gives me an error message saying that the prices for the trip have risen. But, THEY CHARGE ME THE $198 DOWNPAYMENT EVEN THOUGH IT NEVER ROLLS TO THE CONFIRMATION SCREEN DUE TO THE PRICE INFLUX. The new price is $2374.77. I accept that price it charges me the $198 AGAIN and sends me a confirmation that says. “Your flights have not been confirmed please call Customer Service immediately. I call them at 7am they aren’t open, call again at 8am they aren’t open. They finally open at 9 and I’m able to get through (this information regarding hours isn’t posted anywhere that I could find. A representative gets on the phone and asks to put me on a 3-5 minute hold, which turned into about 25 mins then gets on the line and says your trip was booked for $2457 but since we are having issues with booking spirit flights she has spirit on the line so that I can book directly though them. Ummm excuse me 1st of all that is not the price that I selected and saw on the confirmation page and 2nd I booked flight and hotel with the Pay Delay Option though you. Nonetheless I talk to the Spirit rep and she says she tried to charge my credit card $800 and it was declined. Excuse me! How did you get my credit card information!!!! I tell them do not charge my card, to delete my information, and transfer me back to BookIt. They said they can’t transfer back so I hang up and call again just to have to explain again and be placed on another 3-5 minute hold which actually turns into a $34 minute hold. She comes back on the line and says we can try to book it again for $2854.15 but it probably won’t go through because of our issues with Spirit right now. First of all why are you still advertising Spirit flights if you know you’re having an internal issue and why has it gone up over $500, response “the prices change mam I can try to find you another flight”. She finds another flight with layovers (original flight was direct) for $2826.26. So I save less than 20 hours and will have to endure 4 hours worth of layovers. I’m livid at this point the price has changed for the third time! So, I ask to speak to a supervisor. After another hour of holding on and off the supervisor finds a better flight with less time in layovers (3 hours between departure and return) for $2729.35 and offers me a $100 discount totaling $2629.35. $100 discount when what I originally booked was not only a better flight but nonstop. at this point the prices have change 5 times!!!!!
Then to add insult to injury I had to pay another $198 to book this reservation. That’s $594 that has came out of my account and I now have to wait 5-7 business days to get it back.
This is the horror story of when you’re seeking convenience and get extremely inconvenienced. I spent a total of 2.5 hours on the phone and got no where except for paying more for the vacation and being incorrectly charged for $396. I asked to speak with the supervisors supervisor and I was told he would call me back but she’s not sure when, he probably never will.
Beware! Bookit.com has changed from a convenient site and good customer service experiences, to scamming and positing false prices to reel you in and then change the prices and charge you without your knowledge.
Southwest vacations and cheap Caribbean have competitive prices and less complications. Try them!!! This site now reminds me of those flight websites who post cheaper flights and then change the price on the confirmation page. A complete scam and horrible service.

"False advertisement.My husband and I decided to go to Jamaica. So we decided to book it with bookit.com. when I booked the trip I booked it from the 5 of March to March 14 . I booked the trip and all exclusive with plane and car. Everything look good but I went back the next day to take show my husband. Then I noticed we were booked tell the 16th. I want back to change it to the 14th. Everything look good so they were not going to charge me but when I checked the flights they were still for the 16th. So I called the flight to see why it was for the 16th explain to them that it was for the 14th. They could fix it but it was going to cost $300 more per person. Their mistake but they want us to pay an extra 300 per person. So we have to take an additional three days off from work just because they made a mistake and pay more money. We would have just canceled the whole trip and booked with someone else but we can't because the flights are not refundable. We are stuck paying 1500 dollars more. When it Stated no charge for canceling . "
"I have been using book-it for years. I have found that they are the by far the best prices around. The only problem I had with this booking is that the price went up 2X's as I was trying to put my credit card info in. Even with it going up the couple of dollars each time the prices were still very good. I will continue to use Book-It for my traveling."
