"I rented in person from the Borrow Lenses store in Waltham, MA when I needed to borrow a camera with video as well as a lens last week. I walked in thinking I knew what I needed, but had some questions and asked if I could play around with the camera for a few minutes in the store to make sure it was what I wanted to rent. The person at the front desk was extremely helpful and very patient as I was probably in the store for at least 45 minutes. She made me feel much more comfortable with my purchase and I could not have asked for better service! The camera and lens was in great shape as well and was just what I needed. "I recently rented the 150-500mm Tamron lens. The lens was rented for a trip to photograph Eagles feeding in Washington State. The lens did not preform well at all. At long distances all my photos were out of focus. I spoke to several professional photographers on site and they said the lens may have had a flaw or not calibrated to my Canon 60D body. Sorry I was not please with the lens at all. I would rent again but next time I will rent a better quality lens. "

"I was new to this for the Memorial day weekend. Thought I would be on a boat party watching the Blue Angels perform over Jones Beach. Never got there so I used the Tamron SP 24-70mm f2.8 at home and on the golf course instead of my lens. Great photos and an easy experience to get and return this pro lens. "I needed to rent a Sony 70-200mm f2.8 lens for a concert I was shooting in Tallahassee. I first tried lensrentals.com. They sent me an email requesting I call them to verify info. I called and the lady said she would call me back if there was any problems. Instead I get an email saying the only way they would rent me the lens is if i gave them a $2000.00 dollar deposit! That's the full retail price of the lens, new. Plus the rental fee, shipping tax etc.
So I called the lady that was supposed to call me back and she explains, quite condescendingly that I'm renting a 2k lens for only 130 dollars, and she mentioned fraud 4 times in 2 minutes, insinuating that I was perhaps trying to steal their lens. All in all a terrible first impression.

Since I shoot Sony (there's literally dozens of us!), my only other option was borrowlenses.com. I placed my order and they said a $1000.00 dollar deposit would be required. Half of what the other company wanted, and much closer to the actual value of a rental lens. I gladly paid and my lens was shipped quickly. It was in perfect condition and performed flawlessly. I more than made up for the price of the rental and got some amazing shots. Return was a breeze with the supplied box and shipping label. I won't hesitate to do business with them ANY time I need to rent anything. Classy, well ran company."

"I recently received 2 items from borrow lenses; one was a gimbal head the other a Teleextender (2x) for my Nikon equipment. The service I received was excellent and the purpose of my transactions was to compare my 1.7 extender and the Wimberly gimbal to my Cobra head (from Kirk enterprises)

"First time using BorrowLenses - great experience. I am not geared up to do weddings but got volunteered to do one anyway at the last minute. Rented the Canon wedding package for a week since it had a couple of lenses that I have been eyeing for my 5D Mk II. When I received the package, the UV filter on the 24-70mm lens was broken (as in shattered) but other than that the lens was fine. Emailed the support folks and told them of the issue and that I would not use the lens without the filter. That was on Thursday and the wedding was Saturday. They overnighted a replacement lens at no charge and I was good to go. Returning the equipment was a breeze. I have been hesitant to take on jobs that I know I don't have the right equipment for but that will no longer be the case. Will definitely be using BorrowLenses again. "
