I am going to drop some serious cash on either a Canon or Nikon system and after weeks of reading reviews on the internet, decided to try before buying. Rented from BorrowedLenses $8000 worth of camera equipment, Canon 5D Mark III camera, 16-35 2.8 wide angle zoom lens, 70-200 2.8 medium telephoto zoom lens and a 2x teleconverter. All equipment functioned perfectly and appeared to be in new condition. Delivered by UPS right to my door, could not have been easier, just unbox remembering how it was packed and when time to return simply repack and tape seal the box and put on the enclosed return label and ship back by UPS. In October when the leaves change will be renting from BorrowedLenses a Nikon D800E camera, 14-24 2.8 wide angle zoom lens and a 70-200 2.8 medium telephoto zoom lens and a 2x teleconverter. "Nice operation that makes top quality pro equipment available at reasonable rental rates and decent terms. The only glitch in the system is my fault. They strongly recommend returning the rental item in person at a UPS service center (not a "UPS Store" or other UPS drop-off point in someone's store), but the closest such center to me is 20 miles away and they open after I start business and close before the end of my work day. I took my chances on a driver pickup, although I did watch him scan the package into the system. Also, I pre-paid two-way shipping and had an additional $5.94 charge for the pick-up. Once again, if I was able to take the package to the UPS Service Center, there would have been no additional charge."

"My overall experience was ok besides the crappy equipment i received. I rented a Nikon 24-70mm 2.8 and after opening the box it looked as if someone strung the lens to a trucks bumper and dragged it down the road for miles. The lens had been thru the ringer and was falling apart.. Sad to see people not taking care of such a great and expensive lens! The zoom was loose at 70mm causing it to slide in and out freely and it was sticking at 24mm. The glass was scratched on both ends resulting in some not so great photos... I received the rental the day before leaving on my trip so I didn't have time to exchange it or even call borrow lenses to explain what I received.. Hopefully my next rental of the NEW nikon 80-400mm will be or should be in perfect condition"
