"Rented a new Sony A57 with a Carl Zeiss 24-70mm F/2.8 lens. Both were amazing! The rental experience was excellent with the exception of a requirement that was communicated after the order was placed. Because I was a first time customer to BL they wanted additional credit card info, photo copy of both sides of my drivers license, and a copy of a recent bill showing my address. All of which would be kept "securely" on a BL server. Although I can understand the additional requirements to help secure their equipment, I wasn't comfortable providing that kind of detail. I suggested placing a hold for the value of the equipment on my credit card as an alternative, and that was accepted by BL. This could become an real issue for some new customers based on the replacement value of some of this equipment.

Overall I would highly recommend BL. They were quick to respond to my email requests, and acknowledged the receipt and condition of the returned equipment in a timely manner. This is excellent way to test equipment before laying out the cash."
