"I have dealt with this Company twice before and have always been very pleased with the products. I recently purchased a new kitchen fixture and part of it was damaged. I received a very quick response to the problem and the part was received in 2 days. I would recommend checking this sight prior to purchasing lighting elsewhere.

The avaibale inventory makes it easy to complete projects ontime. The box stores don't cary the metal pop up units r the variety."

"Ordered a shower system, was billed the same day, and after the order sat in limbo for a week, I called to get an updated status. I was told it shipped the same day I called. A week later, I call back again requesting a status, and I'm told it just now shipped that same day, and the reason for the delay was a problem with the warehouse, and they would get me the tracking # as soon as possible. Called the next day, and again, I'm told the order just now shipped that day. After calling them out, thy finally admitted the item was backordered, but assured me it would ship tomorrow. I cancelled the order and went somewhere else.
Every time I called, I got a different employee, so lying to me about the backorder seems to be a company policy. Stay away."

"The order came by a freight truck without any advance notification. We are used to being given tracking numbers by all internet companies. This caused a major problem since our neighborhood cannot handle tractor trailers.
Then we had to return 2 of the 9 items as they didn't fit the space. They gave us a return number and we shipped the items back--and they go directly to the manufacturer, not Build.com. A week after the receipt of the items, we still had no credit to our card. After calling customer service we learned the onus was on us to call them with the tracking number. They apparently only have one way communications which are TO the manufacturer, not FROM.
This was never mentioned in any of the paperwork or in discussions with Customer service.
It is not a good business model to ask your customer to show proof of returning something as a rule rather than an exception.
We will never use them again. There are other companies out there with the same prices and goods, with better customer service."

Horrible customer service, my $600 product was damaged, they refuse to anything to correct it (not even a tiny credit). The lady only told me I was pretty much S.O.L because they only offer a 3 day time frame to report damaged merchandise.
They have a 4 star review on google, but check BBB & other sites before you buy. This company is a joke and needs shut down. They're giving hard working people the shaft on many orders, one guy lost $1,000 to this company on an order he never even received.
So, I will say it again: BUYER BEWARE! Save yourself the trouble & the $$$"
"Please do yourself a favor and learn from mine and others bad experiences with this seller. They do not have anything in stock and all items ordered are drop shipped from other companies which I was told by their representative. I ordered an item from them online on 7-23-14 and 8 days later it had still not shipped. I called their customer service on 6 different occasions and was promised by each different person that the item was going to be shipped today or they would call me back shortly or they were going to send me an email etc. None of those promises were kept. I had to end up canceling the order because I can not trust this company will deliver. by the way the cancelation is a "request" We will see how this works. "
"I am just amazed at the negative reviews for build.com. I am a designer, my husband is a contractor and we have ordered thousands of dollars worth of merchandise from them without any problems at all. Our salesman Pete is always prompt to answer emails and he is so professional and helpful. Shipping times are very quick, everything is packaged carefully and I can't say enough good things about the company. If your rating system allowed 10 stars, I would give them that rating."
"Just terrible. Upon ordering my order was processed and my bank account was debited. Two days later I receive an email that my order hasn't shipped due to my billing address being incorrect, yet my money is gone? I called them and they couldn't resolve the issue. Another email, I call them again, verify all info, still no resolution. Another email, verify my EXACT address with my bank, talk to customer service again, no resolution.
After SIX DAYS my order still hasn't shipped yet they had no issue getting my money with the "incorrect address". The same address I wanted it shipped to by the way! Got so frustrated I canceled my order, which took repeating "Cancel My Order" many times! Ordered from different company, shipped the same day."
