I ordered my camcorder on line about a week ago. However, the credit card transaction somehow didn't get through possibly because of the hurricanes. Then butterfly suggested me to cancel the first order and do another one. I followed thier instruction and happily found I saved a few bucks because they had just reduced the price on this item. On the next day, I called them again to explain that I would like to get the camcorder before mt baby is born. They promised to ship it on time. To my surprise, I received this item in only two days and found out they upgraded my shipping service without extra charge to make up the time lost at the beginning. The product I got is brand new and everything is just like what I saw on their web site.
This is the best on-line shopping experience I got since I started doing it 7 years ago. I'll bring all my related business to them and wish ButterflyPhoto best luck in the future."
"Butterfly Photo had one of the cheapest prices on the Nikon D70 (and cheap shipping). I ordered it on Tuesday and it showed up on Friday in great condition and with all the parts included. Camera works great. The only glitch was that I didn't receive an initial confirmation email of my registration or my order. I called up the next morning and they sent me the order confirmation and a tracking number."
"I purchased PowerShot A75 as they had the best price including shipping at the time. Order went easy and got confirmation email. I ordered at 1AM and as soon as they opened (I guess) I received shipping info with Fedex tracking number. Today I got surprised as I already received my camera, not even 2 whole days of delivery. Great. It came packed nicely and all looks new in original wrapping."
"Placed order for camcorder at great price. Of course, they make you call to "confirm" and try to sell you some accessories at extremely high prices (but it was a soft sell, not too pushy and certainly polite). I didn't bite, and they said everything "looked good" with my charge card , etc. Two days later they raised their price on this item online, and my order remained unshipped ...in "billing" status. One week later, the item still hadn't shipped (my guess is they weren't anxious to fill my order quickly as they had better orders to fill ..ones with accesories, warranties, or at higher margin). Fotunately, I found an authorized delaer in WA that offered the item at a lower total cost w/ shipping and with "one call" I placed an order which was shipped the next day! I cancelled with Butterfly and they took my cancellation politely. Butterfly had a chance to impress me but they didn't, and I'd be wary of trying them again now that I found a tremendous alternative for my Camera/Camcorder needs. Simply put, I think you'd do well to completely avoid Brooklyn NY dealers and make One Call to WA state with your business. "
"While the camera was shipped promptly it was an opened box which always makes me suspicious.
Secondly I had to call them. They said it was to confirm my credit card but they then tried to sell me accessories.
I will NOT do business with them again."

"A mixed bag. It took a week to get a shipping confirmation on a Panasonic plasma TV, when I had been told it would take 48 hours. On the other hand, when I emailed the CEO of the company (he offered his email address on my initial email order confirmation) and told him my problem the set shipped the next morning. Maybe this made a difference, maybe it didn’t. In any event, the set arrived on time, in perfect condition. So, on balance, I’d probably buy from them again.

"Ordered a Canon S60 at this store. Got an email asking me to call them, if I watned rush delivary. I did call and the customer servie agent would not help ship the item soon. Anyway, I just confirmed the order and requested them to ship the item as soon as they can. I get an other email then asking me to contact the customer service. When I called again, the customer service agent said, he did not now why I was asked to call again. He said, may be to tell me about some new deals that I did not see when I ordered! This really irritated me. They were not helping me with Rush delivery, but it looked as though they delayed shipping to sell me some more accesories. I immediately cancelled the order."
"An overall positive experience with Butterfly. Great deal. Fast shipping. Canon 300D arrived in perfect condition exactly as described. They did request a call to confirm shipping and try to sell me accessories, but they were not pushy in any way. When I informed them I didn't need anything, they told me that the camera would ship later that day. And indeed, I got a Fedex shipping confirmation email later that day.
If their prices stay low, I will probably buy from them again whenever I save up enough for the 20D."
"I initially purchased a camera (Canon Pro-1) whose work was incorrect for my needs. I went through the exchange process and got a Nikon 8700 in replacement that works much better.
Phone 'jail' and waiting is my only negative. Lots of time on hold."
