"Buyers Beware! Please do not waste your time purchasing from this company. I purchased a Canon EOS 10D on June 29th and received the product on-time but with VERY FEW packaging material, thus the $1200 camera was floating around in the box from NY all the way to HI. This isn't the only thing, the camera turned out being defective. I contacted them on a Sunday which they claimed is open for tech support but was told to call back on Monday. WTF?! I requested a refund due to unsatisfactory performance in all departments I have dealt with yet they are insisting on charging me a restocking fee, which off $1400.00 is $140.00! Stay away from these guys and listen to everyone else and shop from OneCall.com!"

"I had a very bad experience with Butterfly. The salesman was not pushy. I ordered a camera (which went down in price the next day) I am hoping for a refund of the two dollar difference, a memory card and rechargeable batteries. The battery charger is rapid charge with 2400 batteries in it but I also ordered four additional batteries and they only sent me 1600 batteries. They lied about sending 2400 for the additional four batteries. They don't even carry 2400 batteries unless you are ordering the charger. Then the worst part is that I ordered 256K memory for the camera and the box came empty. No memory anywhere in the box whatsoever. One hundred dollar memory card lost!!!! I am working with the manager of the customer service department and hopefully this will be resolved. They also sent all these things in a big brown box with no packing material in there whatsoever. Hopefully the camera is not damaged. The only good part is that I ordered the camera on Friday and it arrived on Tuesday at noon. But beware they required a signature to receive the camera at the door. Someone must be home."

"I have had a very pleasant experience so far with Butterfly. I always do comparison shopping on the internet and usually don't buy from the cheapest vendor due to poor reviews about "up-sale" tactics and "out-of-stock" notices after purchase. Butterfly had a great rating on Dealtime and was listed as the lowest price from a "trusted store". I can see why. They did not have the lowest price but they did have the very "hot" Olympus C-765 in stock. They don't charge for shipping (if you are not in a hurry) and this effectively lowers their prices. It appears from reviews, that most purchases arrive in less time than expected. I am hoping that is the case for me. I did order over the phone from Patrick, he was pleasant, was not pushy, did not try to hard sell addtional items and assured me that my product was in stock. I will follow up this review after delivery."

"Bought a Canon CP-200 photo printer. Easy ordering, good price, no tax and no shipping. I received an email asking for a confirmation call on my order, but no hard sell on other items when I called. Just one question as to whether I wanted the ink/paper kit, and when I explained I got it for less at another store, the rep was very nice, even congratulating me on such a good price, and finished up the details of the order in a timely and efficient manner. I was told when the product would ship and when I could expect to receive it, and received tracking information about a day later. Got the package, safe and sound today--could've used a little more cushioning in the box to keep it from moving around, but not really an issue since the packing in the Canon box itself had the printer well protected. The only glitch was that Fed Ex had to redeliver 3 times before I was able to be home to sign for it--I should've asked the rep if a signature release was possible. I'll keep that in mind for next time, since I would definitely do business with this store again."

"My experience with ButterFly Photo was a positive one.
I am a very skeptical person, and when it comes to transactions via the internet, I am very cautious, and question every purchase and pose the question, what are they really selling, but I digress. Therefore, I felt obligated to share my experience with ButterFly Photo.

I was in search of the Sony F828, and found some great deals on the internet, but the reviews of the venders made me weary. I did some more researching and found a great price at ButterFly Photo. I looked for all the negative reviews, and read them to find out what were the major complaints about this vender. After reviewing the risk vs. reward of conducting business with this vender, I felt it was worth my while to make a purchase with them. With that being said, I am glad I did, because I received an excellent deal on my camera, furthermore they shipped my camera the very same day.

If I had a complaint, it would be that I never received an email confirmation; however, I was able to track my order from their site. Now I am not sure if I did not receive an email confirmation because I called to upgrade my shipping from regular ground to next day air? Nonetheless, I received my camera today (the next day after my purchase), and the camera was brand new in the box, as expected, as well as properly packaged to avoid any damage during shipping.

To conclude, if I have any other needs that ButterFly Photos my service, I will do business again with them.

"I've had an awesome experience with Butterfly Photo. I ordered the Panasonic PV-GS120 on a Tuesday and I received it two days later even though I chose the cheapest shipping option. One item was missing from the accessory pack I chose: I emailed them and got an answer right away: they apologized for the oversight and assured me that I would receive it ASAP.
The price was the best I could find on the web.
All things considered, I will definitely buy again from them and I will recommend the store to anybody.

"These guys suck. Horrible purchase experience. I placed order on 6/5/2004 for the Digital Rebel and on 6/10/2004 I still hadn't heard anything about my order. Sent them email to cancel order and they tell me I have to call in to cancel order, BS. They want you to call in so they can try to pressure you into buying it or some overprice accessories. Their online site is laid out that way on purpose--they don't ask for your 4 digit or 3 code on your credit card when you order so that you have to call in to give them that info and that's when they try to pressure you into the overpriced accessories. I place my order w/ Onecall.com and the order shipped in less than 12hrs--now that's the way it should be. I suggest everyone to go elsewhere w/ purchase. BTW, Onecall.com was cheaper also. These guys are losers. Plain and simple."

"I had an excellent experience with Butterfly Photo. They were very professional, courteous and helpful. I purchased the Panasonic PV-GS200 MiniDV Camcorder. They do tend to upsell accessories, however, they do state that you do not have to purchase them. Order tracking was exceptional and the product was delivered as guaranteed. I had considered purchasing the camcorder locally but Butterfly Photos price was $200.00 LESS that I could find locally. I highly recommend Butterfly Photo as a quality and fiar priced merchant."
