My Second CPAP

"In 12/2006 I started using a CPAP. It is still working well, but at my pulmonologist's recommendation, it is time to get a new one and use the existing CPAP machine as a back up. I heard a CPAP.com advertisement last summer on my local AM Talk Radio station (WHPA-580). Ordering through CPAP.Com went well, and the machine arrived in a few days in late January.
I desired a no-frills model, and the salesman helped me pick one out. I am paying out of pocket, as I do not need a more expensive machine with all the wireless capabilities to send my data to who knows where. And the price was right. The transition to the AirStart-10 was seamless on that first night.
The only recommendation that I have for this AirStart-10 CPAP after a month's usage is an "Apnea per hour" count on the sleep report. This number was part of my first CPAP machine of a different manufacturer, and I got used to periodically monitoring my apnea score. Querying this feature with CPAP.com, they did the researching with the manufacturer and shortly informed me that this feature is included in the AirStart-10 APAP model, but it is not included with the CPAP model.
In a follow-up conversation with the pulmonologist, I shared my positive CPAP.com experience, and he said that he would look into this resource.
