Originally set to deliver on 12/1/04, which was a very slow date a week later than orders placed at 3 other vendors on the same day, then received 2nd date stating 12/6/04 scheduled delivery. "I ordered an Intel chipset based 56k Modem (model #A-82537) from CPUtopia, but what they sent us was a non-intel chipset modem (using a smartlink chipset) which did not have the features of the Intel chipset (ie: does not support Fax class 2).

Their invoice contained no phone number, and after checking their web site I discovered there was no phone number listed there either.

I sent an email to ****@**** at 1:40pm explaining we had been sent the wrong product, and requested a call-tag. As of 6:04 this evening they have still not responded. Considering email is the only form of contact they offer, I would have expected a response the same day.

This modem was to be used as a test sample, as we sell modem sharing software solutions and had planned to order additional Intel chipset modems in quanity. Based on our first order with CPUtopia, I doubt we will ever be doing business with them again. Good prices mean nothing if the company offers no support or customer service.

The order was placed on a Friday and the item shipped out the next business day.

"First of all, I ordered something from outletpc.com, and it was out of stock. So I searched and found this place also had it. What I didn't realize, is that outletpc and cputopia ARE THE SAME COMPANY.

So when I ordered the item from cputopia, sure enough, four days later I get an email saying my order was canceled because the item is out of stock.

You'd think that when they KNOW an item is out of stock, they should remove it from their website, but NO. I've wasted over a week with these guys (combined between the 2 store fronts) because of an out-of-stock item that they wait 4 days to tell you about."

"I was a bit dissapointed with shipping. I didn't receive my order via UPS untill today-March 9th which is nearly 10 days from the date I purchased online. May be fault of UPS, but I was given no explanation why it wasn't delivered on March 8th, yesterday, which was the original delivery date. It arrived in Omaha Saturday March 6th and sat there all day Saturday and all day Monday March 8th. Why is what I want to know. Why when I order from other places that ship USPS, I receive my order in 2 days and pay less for shipping, pay more for shipping for UPS and receive it in 10 days? Can you explain this?
