"Samantha should take over as director. She is great. Stephanie is seriously lacking, is rude and does not put the children first. There is not individualized care and all kids must meet all milestones at the same time, which is just not possible. The food is lacking and they will not even put sunscreen on the kids before outdoor play. Everything is a struggle there. There is an atmosphere of being too lazy to do their jobs which is promoted by Stephanie."
"Front office... good. Teachers, as we have said, are very different in our classroom and we have better experiences with some than others."
"More descriptive email subject lines would be helpful (vs. important information and urgent information)"
"great place, I feel good/safe when I drop off my son at childtime, and thats important to me. I researched a lot of schools before I picked one. There are a lot in the area."
"I have nothing but good things to say other than I don't understand why I am being asked what type of dress the teachers and Director wears during this survey. What they wear shouldn't matter as long as it is durable and appropriate to run around with crazy kids all day. If they all wore sweatsuits, I wouldn't care at all."
"Too many emails. So many that I seldom open them and then I miss the important ones. Also this survey was too long."
"Overall I’m happy with the school. I feel that most the teachers and the director care for the students and know that my kids love their teachers. There is a reluctance for change. Some teachers are kept on that have many complaints against them and just don’t seem to be invested in teaching any longer. They seem almost annoyed by the children and expect them to act older than they are. As they have been here for so long and are close with the director everything is overlooked even as parents unenroll their kids. Other wonderful teachers have even left due to these few teachers causing issues. It also is difficult as the teachers are underpaid and many good teacher leave for better opportunities. For the high price paid by parents it would seem that there should be more resources available to pay these teachers a living wage. Again, parent input does not seem to be highly valued."
"To your face they seem to want to solve the issue but behind your back they call parents names like, “Helicopter parent” or “Coddler”."
"Parents' and kids' experience with a school can vary depending on the teacher. The teacher in our child's classroom (TK) is very unprofessional and insensitive to children's and parents' concerns. The only reason we are staying with the school is to avoid changing schools multiple times in 6 months before our child start kindergarten at a public school this fall."
"I moved my son to Childtime after spending 3 years at another daycare. He’s thrived since the move and the staff has been amazing. They have helped bring my son up to speed on learning. They’re understanding of my concerns. I wish There was more information given about progress on a monthly level. I don’t always have time to talk to the teachers at the end of the day and I sometimes feel like I’m in the dark on what they’re learning and working on."
"I think this school will continue to be an emotionally abusive environment for children as long as the administration enables cruel and unnecessary practices."
"The school does a great job of making every holiday extra special. It's a nice community and it's clear all the staff enjoy working together. I appreciate that my daughter can participate in Tae Kwan Doe while at school."
"Love the teachers. I do wish the school just had more space. The hallways are a little crowded and there isn’t a good place to leave a car seat for an infant if you need to leave there (for another parent to pick up)."
"The staff is so good with my son. I love the video cameras so I can see what he does all day."
"We really love Childtime but do find the multiple tuition increases per year to be a bit difficult. They do give us pause for if we can continue to afford to stay at the five day a week level."
