I just login to Cabela's website to check the status and found out they have cancelled my order. They didn't even notify me when my ordered was cancelled. I will never order from them again."

"I ordered 9mm Winchester ammo in June 2009, knowing it was back ordered, but was told inventory was expected arrive in July. In July I got an email saying they now expected inventory to arrive in August. In early September, after getting NO reply to TWO email inquiries, I called customer service and was told the item was still back ordered and they had no idea when it would be in. I cancelled the order and placed an order with Ammunition To Go, who seems to have no problem filling their orders. Never again do I order ammo from Cabela's!"

"I purchased a dog collar from their on-line catalog. The product originally sold for $99 and was listed on sale for $59. It was also clearly advertised as "in-stock". The next day I received a notice from them that my order was cancelled because the item had been discontinued. I was very disappointed. At that point, I went back to the on-line catalog to see what my other options were. To my surprise, the same collar was listed with the same manufacturer's description. The item had a new Cabella's product number and a new price of $109. At that point I got angry because I felt cheated by CABELAS. I sent an e-mail to them stating my dissatisfaction. To date, no response from customer service. Cabelas has a good name in the the industry, I'm sure if upper management knew how un-responsive customer service is, they would remedy.
11/28/08 Update, it's been 2 weeks since I contacted Cabelas customer service . . . STILL, NO RESPONSE from them. I'm convienced they don't care about retaining customers. There buisness must be great that they can just "blow" their customers off. I'm not happy & will not buy from them in the future. "
"I purchased a Rhino GPS unit from Cabelas. The product is great and I think that you can buy it in a lot of places. What I like about Cabelas was the customer service rep really knew the differences between the competing products, had used many of them, and really helped me select a good unit for my needs when I didn't know anything about them. Prices were competitive as well."

Cabela's charged $16.95 for shipping/handling and though the item is in stock the order has still not processed-- a full five days later.
