"I ordered a pair of NORTH FACE WOMEN'S STORM PEAK II BOOT on 9/18/09 for $19.88 plus shipping. As of today (10/5), I still have not received my order. I just login to Cabela's website to check the status and found out they have cancelled my order. They didn't even notify me when my ordered was cancelled. I will never order from them again."

"I ordered 9mm Winchester ammo in June 2009, knowing it was back ordered, but was told inventory was expected arrive in July. In July I got an email saying they now expected inventory to arrive in August. In early September, after getting NO reply to TWO email inquiries, I called customer service and was told the item was still back ordered and they had no idea when it would be in. I cancelled the order and placed an order with Ammunition To Go, who seems to have no problem filling their orders. Never again do I order ammo from Cabela's!"

"Nothing but great service from the staff at Cabela's. I had recieved a holiday gift from a friend that was purchased at Cabela's, and their staff was nothing but courteous in assisting me with exchanging it for another item. After placing my new order, I found a cheaper price in one of my Cabela's catalogs, and they were even glad to honor the old price for my new item.

"I purchased a dog collar from their on-line catalog. The product originally sold for $99 and was listed on sale for $59. It was also clearly advertised as "in-stock". The next day I received a notice from them that my order was cancelled because the item had been discontinued. I was very disappointed. At that point, I went back to the on-line catalog to see what my other options were. To my surprise, the same collar was listed with the same manufacturer's description. The item had a new Cabella's product number and a new price of $109. At that point I got angry because I felt cheated by CABELAS. I sent an e-mail to them stating my dissatisfaction. To date, no response from customer service. Cabelas has a good name in the the industry, I'm sure if upper management knew how un-responsive customer service is, they would remedy.

11/28/08 Update, it's been 2 weeks since I contacted Cabelas customer service . . . STILL, NO RESPONSE from them. I'm convienced they don't care about retaining customers. There buisness must be great that they can just "blow" their customers off. I'm not happy & will not buy from them in the future.

"I purchased a Rhino GPS unit from Cabelas. The product is great and I think that you can buy it in a lot of places. What I like about Cabelas was the customer service rep really knew the differences between the competing products, had used many of them, and really helped me select a good unit for my needs when I didn't know anything about them. Prices were competitive as well."

"In 46 days I has got from Cabela's nothing.
I can not request post office as I don't now tracking number.I don't see reasons to hide from me TRACKING NUMBER and to postpone an
investigation from Cabela's. The responses I got Cabela's Customer Service were unfriendly, and demonstrated a helpless and heavy arrogance in defense.

"I live in the Florida Keys, which means of course a dearth of shopping choices. Cabela's is my lifeline to fishing equipment and I frequent the on-line store for just about all my needs. I have never had a problem with them and my items are shipped quickly, are packaged well, and I get exactly what I order. I always have a positive experience with them and will continue to shop here with complete confidence. They are an excellent on-line retailer."

"I was very disappointed with the speed in which they fill their orders. I placed an order with Amazon.com for a similar item the same day (within minutes) The Amazon order was at my door two days later--free shipping. Cabela's charged $16.95 for shipping/handling and though the item is in stock the order has still not processed-- a full five days later. I paid more than I would have with Amazon and will most likely receive it at least a week later. This will be my first and last time shopping with this merchant"
