Ilene who's handled my 2 orders is very friendly, easily reachable and tries to understand your needs and in one case when a lens I wanted was out -- she understood that it was a deal-breaker and canceled that order with out pressuring me into getting something that would not have worked for me.
The lenses themselves are in excellent condition, one can easily mistake them for new lenses. The process is top-notch, they arrive on time, shipping them back is a breeze -- my only suggestion is that they should also add a UPS option, since that may be more convenient for some.
The lens caps and other things come stickered to prevent them from getting mixed up with your own collection."

When a friend told me I could rent DSLR lenses online, I was impressed and a little amazed. He gave me the website, and I checked out what they had to offer. "I needed long lens for a trip to Alaska and found the rental site via a Google search. I had a Canon 300 mm prime lens shipped to Anchorage and used it for almost two weeks. I got some great images of eagles, a sounding whale, sea otters, and pelagic birds. Without the lens, I would have had some landscape shots, but no really close shots of the sort I have now in my collection. I took about 1600 shots and at least 100 of the ones from the 300 mm are usable for a slide show or being printed and framed. I shipped it back the day before we left Alaska so I did not have to carry it through airports, with all the secuity worries, and far less weight with my carryon bag. This is a great deal if you want to use a long lens and have to travel a long way. Exceptional staff at the company and great responses to questions and concerns. "
"Fantastic experience! Received the lenses a day early, so it was like an extra day for me. Everything was well padded and the return instructions were very clear.
First off, I would like to say this is a great service for those who are looking to try a lens in real-world situations before you drop hundreds of dollars on one, especially with Pentax since none of the camera shops in my area carry much in the way of Pentax glass!
Onto the review. One of the lenses I received had a slight problem, probably could have used a little better QC during check in; it appeared someone misused the focus clamp on a macro lens and as a result, had a few problems with it. The staff was very understanding of the problem.
Definitely no problems with the service though, CLR was very quick to respond to all emails and questions. Will definitely be renting from them again!
