"The experience was very good. I placed the order online. Shortly thereafter, they confirmed availability and acceptance of my order. Lenses arrived on a Thursday just like they said they would. My official rental period (I chose 10 days) didn't start until the Friday. I like that.

Equipment was in good shape, delivery to/fro went off without a hitch and Barry responded to an email question very promptly. Also good communication regarding reminders and even return delivery and condition.

"I had originally written a review for Camera Lens Rentals back in March of 2009 and it never went through. I guess I messed something up on my end. And since I normally don't right reviews I have not been back since and when I did come back to write another review I found my old one still there. I am going to leaving it attached because it is so accurate to their dedication to customer service even now, 3 years later. They provide great products and fast service and tremendous customer service.

I normally do not write reviews, but my experience with Camera Lens Rental was out of this world and I had to let others know.

I had never rented a lens before, much less online. After doing quite a bit of research on all the rental companies, I decided to go with CLR. I rented a Telephoto lens to use for taking pictures of the Space Shuttle launch on Feb 19. Unfortunately, the launch was postponed after I had received my rental. It got postponed a couple of times and I was faced with having to keep the lens longer than I had originally requested. CLR worked with me to accommodate my needs without hesitation. They even let me keep it two extra days (without charge) until I could see what NASA was going to do. Ultimately, NASA postponed it until March, so I sent the lens back. I re-rented the lens again and finally got to take my pictures. They came out great!!

CLR definitely believes that the customer comes first. They had no obligation to allow me to keep the lens an extra two days, much less for free, to wait and see what NASA did. It totally blew me away. This company definitely believes in satisfying the customer!

I should also mention that their equipment is in like-new condition and works perfectly. I have already used them twice and plan on continuing to use them. I highly recommend using them, you will not be disappointed.

"Rented an 80-400mm lens for an African safari. It worked better than I had dared to hope.

Price was the best I could find online. Service was great. After ordering, I got an immediate confirmation email along with a warning that signature was required on delivery. I replied to the email and they changed delivery to my work address. Got the lens on time, in excellent condition. Return was easy -- just put it back in the box and applied the return sticker, then dropped it off at the nearest Fed Ex/Kinkos. They even sent me a reminder email the day before it was due and a confirmation email after they received it.
