Slow, Slower, Slowest...

"How can a company claim to have "good customer service," when there is no phone number to reach them? If you choose to use their "chatbot," only a select few questions will be answered. Otherwise, you are left with a 72 hour hour wait for a response. Yes, that's right...seventy-two hours! Needless to say, I won't be purchasing from cardpool.com anytime in the future!"

ABSOLUTELY DOWN RIGHT THE WORST CHOICE IV EVER MADE

"Horrible i wouldn't wish dealing with their "customer service" on my worst enemy . i sent 350 dollars in to them that was my Christmas bonus to a store that was over an hour away from me. one week goes by then another i send them an email then another week goes by no response i send another email. I obviously start panicking thinking id been scammed. I practically spammed them on every social media until finely they got back to me over Facebook!? and all they said was to check my email where i got some cut and paste reply saying they never received it and there is nothing they can do and that i should wait a day or two to see it is shows up. I CLEARLY stated to them that if it "shows up" i want sent back to me not cashed out there's not need at this point for them to make profit on the lack of work they did, i even have an email for them stating this was what would happen. loan behold i get and email less than 48hrs later saying my checks been made and sent.....soooo your telling me it went from missing for weeks to wow it just got here? ok... and they deliberately ignored my request to send it back and cashed it out anyways. iv reached out to them numerous times and they have ignored me on Facebook and pretty much refuse to confront me. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. please i can not stress this enough its not worth it please just dont do it "

Takes forever to receive e-gift cards, template responses

"Steer clear of CardPool! I ordered e-cards before Christmas and 3 days later still never received them! I reached out via Facebook and they auto-replied with they can only help when you send a support email. I sent a support email and they auto-replied with due to the holiday they are backed up on emails and sending gift cards. I asked to cancel my order and they said orders cannoy be canceled. To avoid further embarrassment, I sent real e-gift cards from the restaurants to my family and will just use these myself, if I ever get them.

The few bucks you save with Cardpool is NOT worth it. DO NOT BUY FROM CARDPOOL!

"My husband won a Apple gift card though work but we didn’t need/want anything through Apple so we decided to sell through cardpool. Like many of you, I sold the gift card and THEN read the reviews and was very nervous I was scammed. We just submitted the card on Wednesday 12/20 and I received my check in the mail today 12/26. I didn’t expect it would come quick being the holidays but it did. I deposited the check in my account no issues. Was very pleased with my experience. "

customer service is a joke.

"i ordered my card on 12/10 for christmas. The website said 3-7 business days allowing 1 extra date for transaction. I waited till 12/21 to inquire about my order, they said they would look into it. I told them that I ordered them for christams and that it's too late now, please cancel. 2 hours later I get a email telling me that they have just been mailed out and we should get them 3-7 business days later. It was like a slap in the face. No apologies."

At least they respond to complaint email !

"The websites says if you sell gift cards, you can receive electronic Amazon gift cards for the balance in 1 business day. After 3 business days went by I sent them an email with my transaction number. Their response to me was long winded, but they explained that they were busy during the Christmas holiday season and processing times were taking longer. Nowhere on their website did they explain longer than normal wait times. I sold them two restaurant gift cards for a total of $50. I am waiting for my Amazon gift card expected to be around $40. Who knows when I am going to get this. I will never use this service again. I’ve read so many mixed reviews About the company and I don’t feel safe working with them. I had thought about donating the restaurant gift cards to a local homeless shelter for Christmas, now I wish I had done that, at least someone who needed a meal could have been helped . "

Absolute scammers. They do not pay.

"I'm not a person who leaves reviews for companies. In fact, this may be the first time I've EVER done it. But I felt compelled to let others know how strongly I recommend that they DO NOT use this company!

As far as I can tell, they are just straight up scammers and will not pay you.

Here is the timeline of my interactions with them:

10/2/2017 - I sell a few gift cards, and I mail them in immediately. The email I receive after placing my order states "We'll issue you a check within 1 business day of verifying your gift cards."

10/9/2017 - I receive the following message in a confirmation email: "We thought you'd like to know that we've processed your gift cards for transaction #2X4XX04X and mailed you a check for $****.****. The check should arrive within 3-7 business days." Fantastic, everything is moving along nicely!

11/6/2017 - 4 weeks later, I have received nothing in the mail. I email, requesting an update, or for new checks to be sent. After some back-and-forth emails verifying the address (it's correct), I am told the replacement check were mail on 11/8/2017. This delay is extremely inconvenient, but overall it's not a big deal. Things happen, right?

11/17/2017 - Still no checks, so I inquire about the status. I am told that USPS First Class mail can take "up to 3 weeks to deliver if it is misrouted or has to be returned to the sender". This is when I realize that I'm being played. The odds of mail being lost TWICE in a row from the same sender to the same recipient is practically z-e-r-o. I still haven't received the original checks either. They have obviously never been sent.

11/25/2017 - Still no checks. I send a rather stern email calling out their BS and demanding my money, either by check or another method of payment.

11/29/2017 - I received a response. "Since this is the third time that we are attempting to send your payment, we will be having the checks mailed here to our Processing Center in California. Once they arrive, we will be mailing them with tracking so that we can ensure they arrive to you." Ok...whatever...I just want my money.

12/8/2017 - No response or mail received, so I inquire again. I use a 4 letter word in my email because they are some of the most appropriate words to use when dealing with this company.

12/10/2017 - I receive the following response: "Hello,

We have received your checks at our Processing Center. I will be mailing them out shortly with a tracking number.

Please refrain from using profanity / abusive language in your future emails or we will be forced to close your account and end our business relationship with you."

12/11/2017 - I have received no tracking number, and I'm quite sure I won't ever get one.

This "company" isn't just case of poor customer support, or lackluster order processing. They are straight up scammers. They stole my gift cards and refuse to pay me.

"I have been buying thousands of dollars worth of gift cards through this company for several years now. 95% of the time there are no problems with the cards. I have had a few issues where the cards, for whatever reason, end up not having a balance when they should. It is for this reason I took one star off. However, Cardpool has always been good at resolving the issues and I have never lost any money.

Sold my Kohls cards and got my check in the mail

"I had 3 different Kohls gift cards, I told them on Tuesday Nov 28th the next morning I got an email stating my check is in the mail. I didn't expect much seeing they say it can be up to 3 weeks. Today is Saturday Dec 2nd and my check was in my mailbox. 5 days from start to finish and I got 78% of my money back"

Blatantly Stole my gc balance!!!

"Had a WM return that was sizeable, opted for a gc so I didnt have to wait for the funds and figured itd be an easy sell, who doesnt want to save at WM. Heres a timeline of this nightmare-
1.Return items and get gc thats Activated at 3:39 pm 11/29/17, (I bought a $7 item leaving the remaining balance at $335.05)
2. 11/29/17 @ 4:55pm I had to return to WM because of a list in grocery & spent 28.24 and had an end balance of 306 or about-
3. Wanting cash over anything I googled an inquiry that led to Carpool- got a very nice instant quote and then an error message saying the funds couldnt be verified, I found that odd.
4. I again returned to the WM and used the Murphy gas station in front to make a small purchase which was successful.....but cardpool couldnt verify it??? Struck me as odd
5. After returning home with my self verified gc and going back on the website I got the same error code......
6. Again i returned to Murphy store and this spent $120 on lottery tickets (thankfully won $100) amd had an ending balance of 160.14.......and that time was 8:15 pm for the small puchase and 8:32 for the larger one----
7. Magically, at 7:57pm that very same gift card was used along with multiple others at a Las Vegas WM to buy lots of electronics..........Vegas is 20hours drive and at least 3hr flight......I contacted them to explain they must have had a server error or something but they denied any liability and basically told me to contact WM--- Uh.... I did that to begin with, but anyway they wont help amd the emails recieved seemed like they were froma person who enjoys not helping people for a living. Im calling the police, BBB, dateline anyone that will listen

Ripoff - Don’t buy

"Yes they are a rip-off company and shouldn’t buy gift cards from them. I had problem with purchase. They didn’t mention upfront before purchase that the gift won’t be sent instantly. After purchase it showed the gift card takes a business day or more. By that time the deal is over in the other place where I want to use this gift card. Their customer support is terrible and they are talking their policies."

Scam Beware!

"First - I have bought gift cards from 4-5 different online companies. NEVER HAD A PROBLEM spending $1,000's for them. On this occasion - I bought $550 worth of restaurant cards for a party for my parents. This company does not send the items when they say they do. They are the only ones I have seen ship "certified" meaning someone has to sign for them. They have TERRIBLE customer service - no phone number - no way of contacting them but via email. They do NOT read your emails and just reply with a canned response. From what I read they are stealing $$ from people constantly. This $550 was a huge amount of $$ for me and I had a terrible vacation stressed the entire time because of these jack ****."

Discriminate against new customers!

"Do NOT buy from this company. Go with ABCgiftcard, GiftcardZen, or Raise. They know how valuable each customer each and will treat you with the outmost respect. Read below for details:

Do NOT buy from this company unless you want to know how it feels to be discriminated and treated like a second class. Placed an order with them for some Apple gift cards (to purchase iphone X), and they cancelled my order WITHOUT contacting me or my credit card company. They just assumed that I’m some sort of a loser who can’t afford it. No, I’m not making things up. I am TOO risky to be their customer! 760 credit score, 2% credit utilization ($215k credit limit) is too risky. Too risky to even send me an email or call me to verify my order, just straight up cancellation!!
